We need a discussion about our map rotation and voting practices on the GC pub.

*We're all here to have fun.  Please don't get mad.*

I think we need to simplify our map rotation.  Cut down on the number of maps and put in a solid rotation of popular maps like office, contra, nuke, etc. to increase the amount of people coming and *staying*.  I don't think the map voting is working well.  Too many options, and things like dust2 always win. I feel like I'm playing the same 3-4 maps over and over.

I'm sure other people can jump in and say stuff.  I'm not alone, am I?  

Can we add rock the vote?

You don't need them really. If you have an extra bay you could have it lay in there. I just use electric tape and taped it to a bracket already in my case.

But vibration control!  Vibration control!!!! AHHH!          

Do I need to buy special brackets for the SSD?  II didn't think to look what came with it.  I have extra screws, but no bracket thingie for the drive bay thingie.  Yah, thingie!

Jack seems to think my case originally came with adjustor thingies, but I probably lost them!

Jack and I are selling his XBOX 360, Elite version, black.

The fans were modified from 6 volt to 12 volt for better airflow. (It's kinda loud).  It had the red ring of death, but it was repaired.

The disk drive has also been replaced (120 gig).

Also included is the Kinect (with TV mount/cables) and headset/microphone (never used).

I got a new graphics card and have a pair of 6870s I don't need. interested?

Thanks for offering Crasx, but if someone else is interested, it's OK.  I already have one 6870, and I'd hate to only take one of yours if you can sell them higher as a pair.  Plus I'm not sure, but I may upgrade too in a few months.  I finally bought the SSD.  Went with NewEgg's Samsung 840 PRO 256GB when it went on sale.  I was nice enough to buy one for Jack, too, since I owe him a kidney or two. 

So sad.  A long time ago, my sister and I watched Mrs. Doubtfire almost every day after school.  We loved it.  RIP.

Yah, but it was pretty awesome for its time.  The 'swagger' after you come back from missions is so funny!

It's kind of like a pre-Mass Effect with all the talking you do between missions.

GCFTW never was the primary domain for GC. Ever. Was always just a short url for the game servers and then as a pointer to gamerscoalition.com. 

 

FTW is also just slightly old, and it may be our kind of old, but it's still way past its sell-by date. aybbtgc.com is avail I imagine if we want to throw back even further into internet time. A forum like to the first person to drop the relevant animated gif.

 

GCFTW isn't going away. The redirects to the servers will remain. You'll be able to bookmark or join servers with gamewhatever.gcftw.com or gamewhatever.gamrs.co. The only thing that has really changed is gamerscoaltion.com web pages are now gamrs.co web pages. Well that and the subdir of gcforums is now just forums.

Welp, regret is pretty harsh, but I guess I could say that I really regret Thief (2014 release) - I was PRAYING it would bring back the love I had for the original Thief 1 & 2, but... It's a good game, just not stellar.  Garrett's hands are lovely, but it just didn't make me want to play it through more than once.  I had pre-ordered Thief at the time - if I could do it again, I would have waited for the price to drop.

Hmm... as for biggest positive surprise - I'd say Mass Effect 1.  I started the series late with Mass Effect 2, and LOVED it, and then people were saying the story was better in ME1, so I went back and tried it and HATED it.  It was just too soon.  The game felt so outdated and I just couldn't stand the old graphics and the differences in combat.  So I left it alone, unplayed for... I don't know, months.  Then I came back to it, totally fresh, and, yes, I was happy in the end.  It does have a great story and the old game didn't feel so old.
