Add me to the group Jackie. It was definitely fun playing the <10 games I did play for the first one. Did the running/jumping/other mechanics get better? I remember certain things I didn't like about the game but said "eh, it's indie so it's ok".

Clearly you didn't read my post. UT maps were maybe a few MB. A TF2 map isn't very large, either. A L4D Campaign is 100's of MB, Often > 1GB. There's no way to justifiably allow that kind of download in-game.

Downloading directly from a server through an external link will always be much, much, much faster than downloading in-game.

But clearly, only other programmers understand this.

I read it, just let the people download no matter if it takes a bit it's still convenient. Internets are in 2013. Buy a connection already. I'm on 75/75, but even then normal 15/5 people get is fine. Oh wait, someone has 3 down? Wait longer. If they play the server a lot then once it's done it's done.

Who cares? From what I've seen the people who use them aren't good even with them.

I remember playing UT and thinking how convenient it was to go on a friend's server and d/l the map we were going to play, any game that does it this way is good, any game that doesn't is lazy. L4D is lazy... especially with the possibilities for custom maps/campaigns you would think it was a no brainer for them.

I stated earlier in the thread that the pathing is not AI friendly. Common/Witches/Bots will not navigate them well at all.

 

Can you set the AI to suicide/ghost if they don't inflict damage in a certain amount of time?

I'm mainly referring AI to Survivor Bots.

Can you set the AI to teleport if they are a certain distance away from other players for a certain amount of time?
