Can't you connect the switch directly to the modem instead of the router. Using your setup, if one of your computer from the switch is communicating with a computer like a printer or shared drive connecting to the router or one of the computer connecting to the router uses the internet bandwidth heavily, you will be throttling the bandwidth. In addition, home router is not built for 5+ connection. Router is not a 1 to 1 throughput so there will be an additional delay. And no, router is not required for switch setup.

This is what happen when the internet is controlled by corporation. Even without net neutrality, internet providers can still limit our bandwidth since our connection is shared with out neighbor and download cap.

Come to think of it, are we all here underestimating how useful propane/air can be? Those are NEVER EVER bought before.

 

exactly, propane tanks are so under rated.

 

Same with air tank. If one can kills jaws, it should be able to kill a tank easily.

Isn't there a mod to prevent people from a complete rush job? Other community servers are using it. I don't really see people rushing right out of the gate very often, it's more of a middle/last ditch effort when half the team is dead or will be dead soon enough and you are going for points (since versus is all about points). I think the only ones who should be kicked for rushing are the guys who do it right out of the safe room all the way to the end without any regard for team play.

Hi, although this server do not allow rushing, we do, however, allows say if majority of people went down and a tank, then in this situation, rushing is allowed if they are main.

I favor upgrading hordes to fire-proof over limiting the amount of fireworks. Some people always spam firework so it will hurt the team if one do it unless you can set the limit for each survivor instead.

I going to go out of my way and say this game is the most grossest, sexual, funniest game I have ever played. I won't spoil it, but there are parts where I have to pause the game for a good 5 minute for laughing so hard.

I have played for 3 hours so far, but I highly recommend this game if you have watch South Park before or enjoy comedy genre game.

The gameplay is turn based rpg with some mini games outside of battle. If you like South Park, you will notice a lot of easter egg from the show.

I wish this game has coop though

 

I want a new option for the infected where it announce a fake message about a player buying a tank.

Anyway, the weather purchase is a cool add-on. Since many people have played the maps so much, it makes it challenging if survivors can't tell where to go.

L4D2 was not made by Turtle Rock but Valve. They were only in charge of the dlc. Also, i think left 4 Dead franchise is sold to valve so l4d3 will most likely be develop by them

Agreed. My suggestion is get a great cpu and mobo, thus you won't have to upgrade them in the future. With every new generation of CPU, there are a high possibility that the newer cpu will not be compatible with your mobo. The socket always changes and even if not, the chipset might not be compatible with the newer cpu.

cpu: if intel, go for LGA 2011 or LGA 1150. Based on statistic on Intel marketing, LGA 1155 will be discontinued next year, LGA 1150 will be discontinued 2016, and LGA 2011 will be discontinued by 2018. Use this as a guideline so you know if you cpu will be discontinue soon

AMD is cheaper, but not as good of a performance than Intel. Intel is built for everything. I don't use AMD cpu so I can't give you suggestion on that

cpu cooler: If intel, go aftermarket cpu cooler like Corsair H60 (cheap and great performace) or Hyper 212 plus is great since Intel cpu (i5 or i7) tends to get hot really quick

ram: Corsair DDR3 8GB should be enough for gaming. If you use virtual machine like VMware, go for 16GB.

Video card: Market price always changes, but for now, I say go for Nvidia card. AMD is very good, but due to bitcoin, everyone is buying AMD card for bitcoin mining, so price has jump super high. For example, I bought Asus R9 280X card for $309 USD when it was new and it has jumped to $600 USD (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121803).

SSD: If you want, 120GB Intel, Samsung, or Corsair should be enough for OS and any other software. Games will need to be installed on a secondary drive

Optical drive: If you don't mind, I say get blu-ray since it is a matter of time before all media will be released on blu-ray. However, dvd is always good.

Chassis: mid-tower or full-tower, but note cpu cooler like Hyper 212 Plus might not fit in a mid-tower chassis

Your 300 day extended decay is not working. I just login for the 1st in a week and my base disappeared, so they spawned me in mid-air and I fell to my death.

It is funny, because I built a wood shelter for over 2 weeks and it stills hasn't despawn yet.

Even though I haven't been an admin long, I often keep an open mind to everything. I don't side with any admin if he/she is wrong. If they did something wrong, then they are obligated to apologize. An admin is not about dictating policies, but rather keep the server balance.

I didn't become an admin because of power or anything, but rather want to keep the community balance so everyone can enjoy it. Jackie has made a rough detail guideline for us admins to follow.
