  2. oh yes my friends the people have talked and they are tired of the Deagle. Shotty they say! Shotty and boxes oh so beautiful square very droll boxes my friends YES! gc_nova credits: myself for final version. MaRvIn for overview and MOST of all the original creator Razo18 for the prefab of the warehouse you will most likely recognize from the Source version of the deagle map we used to play. All I had to do was drop the boxes in the right places and I may have given a little shout out to GC...... and maybe a secret.... gc_nova.zip
  3. I think mappers have been trying that for years It will be hard to knock down the "gold standard" of competitive maps. I don't possess the finesse or patience to make truly spectacular looking maps. My routing on some maps have been hit or miss. I'd say my biggest strength in mapping is the concepts and ideas. Putting them together with looks and competitive play is another matter all together. In Source when I made de_canyon it got a ton of looks from the mapping community and DL's from map websites because the concept and layout were pretty unique compared to most maps. The version that I failed on in GO would have been a rather spectacular map imo compared to some of my other works. The version I released is ok. I like it, but its not what it could have been. Monastery is ok, a little crowded and its a maze. Fun but not truly competitive. That map I made called de_raze falls into the same category as monastery(and it has some FPS drops ). De_ Seventowers I like but the B-site T rush is just way to strong. QLW and QLJungleWar were made just as quick little maps for fun. I don't think I hit a homerun with de_stadium but I think it will be fun and hopefully could find a niche on some servers outside of SNC's on GC. TIme will tell I guess. Maps currently on the server de_utilitygo_beta ( fps wise not bad could be better) de_monastery_b something (same as above but its a port and there are errors) de_quick_little_war ( fps good) de_quick_little_junglewar (fps kinda sketchy in some places) de_raze_b1 (fps drops) de_seventowers_b2 (not bad) de_canyon ( really focused on optimizing) de_stadium_b1 ( about to be _b4) (same as canyon) Basically I didnt really go for optimization untill the last 2 maps

  5. hah you shoud DL the demo on the other thread. I use that account while I'm at work to avoid being messaged at work! Boss looking over shoulder and steam message popping up wouldn't coincide to well together me thinks.

  7. I think this is just about the final version. Been some pretty significant changes into the way things are routed in/ around the endzone..... upper hallway to Site-A some spool/ trash bin cover / added water fountains The newly expanded Site-A notice extra room with more TV's and an extra wall between site and upper hall Lower Mid route you see two rail car paths... 1 to A and 1 to B View from Site-A overlook you see 2 paths One directly from site-B and the other from corner endzone Over look of site B where you can see the rail car connector to site A and where the T's come from corner endzone This shot looks back through site-B to T connector T connector from T side - to site-B The forman's trailer/ HQ at site-B
  8. Taking the bsp DL down I wil have another version done before Saturday, but do have a Demo. I have focused on limiting the T's rush in both sites. Site B - forcing T's through a channel ( open rail car) and Added a Forman's trailer/ for CT's to use (see screenshot below) Site A- created new wall around the corner / limit T's rush. Also expansion room at site to give Ct's more cover. Cosmetics- made some windows in the non-reachable corners and cleaned some stuff up. Fixes- T's can't run rampant through the stands anymore... ( I hope) sneaky Farberio bad bad bad!!! Assuming a successful test this weekend / will progress to a radar and final file. stadiumdemo.dem
  9. Its quiet a challenge to make this one playable as far as routing goes. Had to go with the rail cars to box off and make routes/ bombsite on the field or else everyone would just run outt onto a huge open field with no cover . The rail cars will most likey be configured a little differently then what you see here for the final product. Also T's have an empty elevator shaft to utilized from top mid level to the bottom as do the CT's
  10. Sometimes you have to roll the dice, attempting to better the life of your child seems to be a perfect time to roll them. Hope her recovery is quick and smooth. thanks, and that's why we decided to go through with it. If it had been myself @ 30 I woulda put this off. I don't like seeing her in pain and least of all but still of some importance it puts a sqeeze on the bank account. My insurance has 1000 deductable and pays 80% of everything else. 80% is nice I guess sounds nice but boy 20% of a lot of bills today is pretty large

  13. So far so good. Nurse scared the crap outta us. After the surgery there are two phases of recovery. 1st phase is getting woke up/. She took a really long time to wake up. Like an hour. So were sitting there on pins and needles nurse comes out calling for her family ( we were right by the door) My wife and I stood up and the nurse said " no not yet please sit down" (at this point I'm like whats wrong in my mind) then she adds Everything is fine she's just not woken up yet. ......... I'm like jeez lady start out with the everything is ok part first before you tell someone to sit down. (whats wrong with this woman) Anyways so far so good like I said above, though when my daughter got home and the pain meds wore off we had a sore time about it all. Much crying and my daughters pretty good about taking medicine but this stuff is pretty awful and in typical youngster fashion she keeps trying to rip her head-wrap bandages off. Thanks all for the prayers or well wishes. I just hope it was all worth it. Improved hearing and all.
  14. She is having surgery in the morning to repair a tear/hole in her eardrums. I don't know why I having posted this here earlier. I guess I use the GC forums and game as too much of an escape from life. *Reminder to keep God in everything. Anyways I'm anxious about the surgery but excited by the fact that it could help her hearing and pronunciation. Her talking is not where it should be and Dr's think its because of the hole that was made by 2 sets of tubes she's had in her ears. Tubes always cause holes but they usually heal on their own. Hers however did not. Her name is Lillian (Lilly) and she is 4. Thanks for reading and a good day to you all.

  16. shhh it's a secret actually I have 2 projects in mind. I've started on a rough outline of one. Not sure if I can figure out a layout that works(or makes sense) for a defuse map. May end up being an awp map or something...which is why its a secret because IDK if I can pull it off. The other idea would be a paintball style map/ inside warehouse wooden structures...... team elimination like the deagle map but with buyzones
