I would be happy to do it, I would need a brief tutorial on how. Also I don't know if Fatty has to authorize this and lay down some guidelines or whatever, but if it's ok with everyone, i'll do it.

I've been breezing through the stat boards lately, and there are a ton of names on it that should'nt be, these are names that would be kicked for having them in the server. Is there a way someone could edit these names? Seems to make GC look bad when the admins work to keep it clean, then you look and see all those names.

I was also wondering how accurate they really are, it seems everyone jumps around quite a bit, it's nothing to go from 200's to 1000's in 1 day and back up the next, seems flawed. Impressive though, to see how many people come to play, even if it's only a few minutes.

Bloodbath is a cool idea, but kinda lame. Thers no need for any scoped weapons on that map, and I think everyone should start with the same money every time, it's too easy for a team to win a few and buy up and destroy. Snipers totally take the fun and skill building out of it, which stinks, cuz that would be a great map for the less skilled to get better at aquiring targets while still being fun for more experienced players.

I dont know if its even possible to change parameters like that, but its just a thought.

The only problem I see, is that its UP TO $50.00, and it seems its only good on the $149.00 units, you can get the base model without the UV stuff from different vendors other than Ultra for $89.00. I guess it would be worth it if you wanted the big buck model, but i'd rather stow away my Antec for a test unit or something.

I agree, steam should fix it, I havent had any problems. Needing Half Life 2 should'nt be the problem, if hes not on steam, he must have got it retail, which I believe only comes with hl2 at this point, but i could be wrong.

As far as what, floors? I do primarily finish carpentry, anything you need trim wise or whatever, no problem, but finishing floors is an art of its own. I can do custom work,like bookcases, furniture, mantles, handrails systems etc. Even if you wanna do something yourself, I can help or lend you tools if you need them.

I agree with the Wal-Mart suggestion, i've been looking for an extra TV for the bedroom, and no one has beat them yet. Best Buy believe it or not, is not very good for regular TV's, bigscreens however, they are very competitve.

Dont mean to sound like a know it all, but i've been price watchin for about 2 months now, I keep goin back and forth between just buyin one for the bedroom, or goin DLP bigscreen, and using my current TV for bedroom.

If your up for a new system build anyways, i would say yes, go for PCIe, but if you just need a vid card I would stick with AGP instead of buying a new mobo (in case you didnt know, PCIe will not work in regular PCI slot).

As for faster, yes, but they say that there arent any games out yet that need that kind of bandwidth. The basic difference is like all the info traveling on a small road compared to an 8 lane highway, and PCIe is bidirectional, can go both ways at once.

I dont know what kind of board you have, but it sounds like the clock multiplier is set wrong, if you go into your BIOS, it should have a setting to auto-detect your cpu,if it still shows that way, go to intel's web site to find multiplier settings and make sure they are correct, if they are, or it wont accept the proper settings, you may have gotten ripped on a re-marked cpu.

Intel should also be able to verify what cpu you have by the serial #'s if you email them. Unfortunatley, cpu fraud is big business.

Other than shut the server down during those times or recruit admins to cover those times, there seems to be nothing that can be done. At least until more tools are available to automate certain aspects of administrating. The first thing to do would be to monitor more closely to determine if there is a real problem, or was this one guy who had a problem one time? I play random hours here and there and for the most part I dont see a need to worry about it much, especially if regulars start to help more with "polite" warnings.

Plus you gotta cut 'em a little slack, they are just trying to play and enjoy the game as everyone else is, they are not full time baby sitters, thats why if you see something and an admin is still alive playing and your not, politely ask them to observe the rules, they cant catch everything if the game is intense like it usually is. But if they are dead observing and do nothing, then there is a problem, but i rarely see that.

They do a very good job in my opinion.

Is it safe to then say that our current x800 series can safely be overclocked to match the x850? I doubt that they tooled up to make a completely new product this soon, it's most likely based on current stuff no?

If it is safe, any info you have on doing it would be appreciated, I prefer first hand knowledge over articles, it feels safer to do when you know someone who has had success.
