I know everyone is treating today as Christmas in November, but i'm getting mine through ATI free, so i hafta wait for US Snail Are the graphics better than CS: Source? It's so hard to tell from screenshots. I've heard its gonna blow Doom 3 away, which I thought graphically at least was awesome.

CS:Source is pretty awesome, but my no means mindblowing. Far Cry is every bit as good if not better looks wise. I'm hopin HL2 is better than all!!

When i first logged on about 5:00, it was about 3 minutes before it logged on, but since then its been fine. CS:S played normal.

It did say something about unlocking game files or something, but i did'nt get HL2 yet(waitin for mail ), are there any cs:s files that get unlocked since HL2 release?

STEAM 0:0:414480 This guy was logged on as (I should be banned)*ER, kept talkin racial trash, and tellin people to suck certain things. He was nicely and not so nicely asked to stop, change his name and read rules by a few people but did'nt work.

There were other people just cursin a bit but i did'nt take the numbers, but this guy is a dirtbag. I'm not tryin to step on any admins toes, but there werent any present.

You guys did a nice job, floors are tough work, especially the sanding and keepin with the grain, it's easier to ruin a floor than most would think. His daughters a little cutie, shes got alot more hair than dad. heh heh. I shouldnt laugh, my heads shaved too. I could always help with carpentry if needed, but I leave the floor refinish to others, i'd do it on my own because if I ruined it i'd hafta kill myself.

It's cool, I'd be grumpy too. If it makes ya feel better, I live close enough to ya to just come and kick me in person next time.

Are they actually refinishing the floor as far as clear and all that, or just repairing loose boards? All that sandin gets messy, i've done it b4, did'nt care for it. I'll stick to finish carpentry, thats what i'm good at.

That sounds cool. Have you tried any of it yet? I have a Neo2 Platinum w/ AMD64 3000. I would be interested in knowing how good it works. I've never tried overclocking before, always a little scared to.

When do ya think we would be able to use some of the new ones? Is it a Steam Issue,or just crappy maps that people made?

I've been using AMD cpus for a few years and been very happy with performance and you can save a few bucks. Alot of the new mobos have very good onboard sound,mine has 6.1 and its every bit as good as my Audigy which is now sitting on a shelf. Another thing to consider to save $$$, is reusing your existing case and power supply if theyre up to snuff. The main cash dump should be in vid card in my opinion, I use ATI and love em, the customer support is awesome and if your power supply is at least 350 - 400 you can use it, if you go Nvidia, they require a lot of juice if I remember correctly about a 600w supply.

How old is your ATI card? Most of them have a 5 year warranty. My All In Wonder 9700 pro had a fan go out and they replaced it free,no problem. ATI's customer service is awesome, I purchased a new X800 Pro and it was bad right out of the box, and for my aggrevation they mailed me an X800 XT Platinum. Thats why I stick with them because of support. I have a 9600SE, AIW 9700 pro, and an X800PE, and been happy with all.

I dont know whether or not your building or buying spec from Pulte, I am a finish carpenter and work in alot of houses per year(60 - 80) and the only thing I would recommend if have the choice at this point, is to upgrade to solid core interior doors instead of hollow, and make sure your trim is wood, not MDF, I see alot of problems with both of those issues, doors swelling and moving, and trim not being durable, one hit on the corner of MDF trim with a vacuum or whatever and it crumbles. Pulte is big out here in OH too, they build cheap to expensive, with quality ranging accordingly. GOOD LUCK!!!

I think all of the banning and stuff actually helps in more ways than people realize, if I never got kicked and banned for my name a few weeks ago, I never would have come to the site and read the forums or had any idea about the community that exists here, this would have just been another server on the list of thousands,so i'm glad I got banned at the beginning.

If it comes out today,the server will probably look like a ghost town. I have to wait for US Snail because I got mine free w/ATI purchase, oh well.

I just wanted to say that this server is awesome, I don't even really play anywhere else anymore. The people are cool, and its free of alot of cheaters due to the good job the admins do. Ive never even played an online game before this,when I got my HL2 ATI premier pack and saw that this was multiplayer, i almost did'nt even try it, but i'm glad I did. After X-mas is out of the way, I plan to contribute cash to help keep it the way it is. Awesome job guys!!!!

If the Pontiac had a different engine , i'd say go for it, but I would take the Saturn,less miles, more reliable engine thats MUCH less expensive to fix. I have personally worked on a 3.4 or two and they are a pain in the something I can't say on this site. My father is an ASE certified tech and he would agree.

He's right, taking breaks would be a good idea gaming, actually anything watched that has stationary images such as, TV stations logos, or stuff like CNN where they have a constant bar of info going across the bottom should be limited to no more than 15% of total viewing per week to prevent burn in. But with DLP or plasma, you don't have to worry about it at all. Most DLP's even have a plug to accept a monitor signal from a PC, so hook up is a snap. I think it's worth the $$$$$.
