  1.

I quit too, after 10 years of smoking I finally realized it's not helping me at all. 2 month of non-smoking life and I feel better - sleep and breathing especially.

I finally began going to gym, but with my new schedule, I'm lucky if can get there 2 times a week. Always something to sacrifice.

I've been smoking some e-cigs lately (the ones with 0 nicotine) and I feel they really calm me down. They help me concentrate with my work and they're pretty cheap too (I spend 5 dollars every 3 months maybe to get a cartridge filled). I'm just scared that if I continue this, I'll start smoking for real, which I've never done before.
You're joking right? I used to smoke both and there is nothing common between them, except you put them in your mouth.

Don't smoke anything. Take my word, there is nothing to gain through smoking.

You know what, do whatever you want.

I wouldn't say there's nothing to gain through smoking. You could always gain some cancer.

  2. I'll probably play through the expansion with my level 60 so I can see it, then start the full game from scratch. I haven't played in a while and I know they are doing the new loot thing. I'd like to play through the whole game with it and see how it goes.

  3. It's an old market. For those who can assemble PC on their own, install OS and every application, this sounds like a fraud. But take my word, there are people who can't launch Skype without help, amd its not just about old folks. I'm not even exaggerating.

Totally. My nephew is going to be 14 soon. By the time I was 14 I had build at least one computer for myself. My nephew wouldn't know how to even take the side of his computer case off. I'm sure there's still kids out there doing it the old fashion way but I feel like it's a dying breed.

  4. lol at the sticker price though. Very sweet case, I have an Antec full tower thats simple plain black just like it.

It's about $120 on Newegg and Amazon

I don't know why the J-Electronics people ZeroDamage linked have it so damn expensive.

It's 22 inches tall. So almost 2 feet tall.

  5. Don't do the community college/junior college route unless you have to. It doesn't sound like you have to.

Your dad's startup may be unstable, but it's profitable for now. If something happens and you can't afford it in a year or two, deal with that then.

This is a really tough question to answer at your age. Even if you're confident now, it'll probably change in 4 years. What do you want to do? Be in management or be a maker? Management is "success" to a lot of people, but if your passion is making things, don't aim for management. Princeton will groom you for management, Illinois (or Rutger) is known for engineering. If you're uncertain, go for the engineering now and get an MBA later.

I'd save abroad for either a short term (semester or less) study session or graduate school. Don't do undergrad abroad unless you're going to the Indian Institute of Technology.

And since you didn't ask, I'd really, really encourage you to consider adding electrical engineering as a double major. The market is moving to such nuanced computing devices, having the hardware side is more important than strict computer science. Doing both is a golden ticket.

Congratulations. Sounds like you've got a ton of opportunity ahead of you.

Electriclal Engineers also make a fortune.

  6. It's illegal (against USPS policy to enclose money and send in envelops). Though you can send a parcel with some things, and carefully hid money inside. :)

What if you didn't enclose it in an envelope and put the address and stamp right on the money?? Try to see USPS work their way out of that one!

  7. Game looks like a lot of fun. I did miss the good ol' Flatout 2 times we had.

I'm always weary of early access games so I don't know if I can throw down the money for it yet. Gonna see how it goes through it's development phase.

So far it seems really promising. The basics are definitely there. I wouldn't recommend getting Early Access until there's at least multiplayer though.

  8. Did you guys know that most real life derbies are driven in reverse (the whole time) like this person chose to do at the end? Funny how those cars are motoring without a motor (or even a place for one!)

I'll most likely invest in this when I have the spare change.

VooDoo, I expected no less of you in your anticipation for this game...you pwnd us many times in race mode on FO2.....who else used to enjoy this game with us online? There was a very small group.

At FFO, red v green matches were super fun! I love doing team derbies.

Yeah, those are my videos. So "this person" was me. :P

There was two points I tried to drive backwards but my tires did nothing but spin when going in reverse. I know in real life they do it to protect their engine, but I'm not sure how the damage works in Next Car Game yet. There's multiple points on the car in the lower left, maybe after so many of those are knocked out you get wrecked... maybe.

The people that played, hmm.... You, Clueless, Jackie, DJ, Shaftiel, MrDuke, LostOften, ShadowDog, Bubblegum Bandit, Mini, Allanon, Thief_Lord, Ted BreakDancin, M2, Shazz, Magruter, Lord Chip Douglas, EbilDustBunny, and myself. That was circa 2007. Who of that list is still around?

  9. I preordered it as soon as it was available. So I got the tech demo thing, which was nice. It felt on par with what was available in the BeamNG tech demo. Just a big arena with stuff to crash into.

The Early Access came out and it is VERY early access. There's not much too it right now. You can select 1 of 2 cars. You have the choice of doing a gravel race, a tarmac race, or a demolition derby. The races can be played solo (practice), 2 racers, 12 racers, or 24 racers. Demolition derby is 12 or 24 racers.

The destruction right now is maybe a little... over the top:

My car still drove, even looking like that.
