rackish April 28, 2004 Share rackish Member April 28, 2004 (edited) So anyway, I joined the gym (YMCA ) last week, and have been trying to figure out a routine. So far I've been going on the treadmill (which hurts like hell). I'm trying to lose weight right now, so no lifting just yet. Does anyone know what a good routine would be? I work monday and thursday, so those two days I d rather not go, but I could. Should I go 3 days and just jog on the 'mill, or what else? Also with the 'mill I've been doing 30 minutes - about 2 miles - and like 160 or 170 calories or something like that, is there anything I should change, should I run at first, then walk to cool myself off(that's what the other people do I think). Input is great, thanks guys! Edited April 28, 2004 by rackish

appalachian_fox April 28, 2004 Share appalachian_fox Member April 28, 2004 Definitely walk after your run, but don't shorten your run time. This will help you avoid injury. Also, stretch first. Even if you're just running. Of course, I never stretched...But I also did some serious damage to my back a year ago. Stupid, stupid stupid...
