Ruff_Ryder June 6, 2004 Share Ruff_Ryder Member June 6, 2004 between 2 computers with UT2K4? It seems that it should be possible in Deathmatch 1 vs 1, when I played C&C Generals, myself and a friend in California would "direct connect" our PC's for one on one battle, now he has purchased UT2K4 and wants to go head to head. AfterTaste June 6, 2004 Share AfterTaste Member June 6, 2004 Yes, I would imagine the easiest way is to (if I am wrong, please feel free to correct me someone) just start a regular listen server by selecting 'host game', set all the rules and stuff that you want. You probably want to put on a password so other people can't show up. Then when your done with all the setting click on 'listen'. I hope that's it, cause I have never actually done it before. Before you open up ut2004 and do all that though, send your IP number to your freind. All your freind need to do is click on '~' to go the console and type "open 127.0.0.1" where 127.0.0.1 is your IP address. That should so it... I hope. If I was not clear enough on any of these steps let me know and I will try and go into further detail.
Ruff_Ryder June 6, 2004 Author Share Ruff_Ryder Member June 6, 2004 I was thinking the same thing with the IP addy, in the other game it had a "direct connect" tab and once activated it asked for both IP's, I will try the listen server and the direct IP input.
