Brillow_Head June 19, 2004 Share Brillow_Head Member June 19, 2004 So far we've had stats up for about two weeks and only five or six /-=GC=-/ers have a record of even logging in... Are we busy or neglecting our responsibility of holding up the server? Don't you feel the pang of emptyness when you don't give into your temptation to frag Lets muster and show even the regulars that the GC is a dedicated group of prime players. Fatty June 19, 2004 Share Fatty GC Founder June 19, 2004 LIEZ stats haven't been up for 2 weeks! I left for vacation 10 days ago, and I think stats were up shortly after that. I'll have to work myself back into things after I resettle in here. By the way, you gotta go with what you got. People will play what they want to play.....let's continue building UT from the ground up. I came back to a couple more GC inquiries that I'm speaking with via email. Anyone else looking to join? Brillow_Head June 20, 2004 Author Share Brillow_Head Member June 20, 2004 I've been in a few hours a day for about a week now...I'm getting burned out...playing with Penty, Tattoo! and After are really the only things keeping me going right now... I do wish the new maps would catch on a bit faster...the pace reallys slows down when playing a game with mostly bots untill they fill up. Oh well, time will tell. Brillow_Head June 20, 2004 Author Share Brillow_Head Member June 20, 2004 Engineer huh, I'm on my 5th year for a BS in Electrical Engineering. And I also work as an Engineer for Daktronics which is an electronic scoreboard and largscale dynamic video display systems company. We've built most of the scoreboard and video assemblies for most of the major sports teams in every sport. The last one we put in was the new systems for the Clevelend Indans, the largest video board and scoreing system in the word. Right now the server is having trouble...but here is the link anyway. www.daktronics.com
Nubus June 20, 2004 Share Nubus Member June 20, 2004 Dang that is a big board...Thats pretty kewl man...we spent alot of time on electrical since it is problably 75 percent of your problems in the feild but I am sure I am not as advanced as your are. I had to take a course in PLC'S though which I really enjoyed. I am mostly learning about the maintenace side of it more like your boilers, chillers, motors, air handlers, etc but we also get into stuff like maual J, D, and P, Air quality, caculations, etc.
Brillow_Head June 21, 2004 Author Share Brillow_Head Member June 21, 2004 Hm, sounds like you're into the mechanical design...if not more abstract than pure mechanical engineering. Thats the difference between mechanical and electrial, you can see water flowing and feel air moving...but seeing or feeling electricity is dangerous....so I have to immagine everything from begining to end...then troubleshoot the problems in between. Still, the engineering field is fastinating. Small world, perhaps I'll work proffesionally with you, wouldn't that be something to talk about?
