Guest zerodamage November 5, 2004 Share Guest zerodamage Guests November 5, 2004 That means it is NOT booting from the XP cd first. You should get a thing that pops up telling you to hit any key to boot from CD. Check and make sure that the BIOS saved.

Guest zerodamage November 5, 2004 Share Guest zerodamage Guests November 5, 2004 sounds like a possible bad CD. I've never seen that before.
mrX November 5, 2004 Share mrX GC Alumni November 5, 2004 I'd repartition with a win98 boot disk (fdisk) or linux disk and then try to format.
random_n00b November 5, 2004 Share random_n00b Member November 5, 2004 That definately sounds like a bad disc. Check it for scratches or greasy fingerprints. If it's not an authentic-from-Microsoft disc as well, then it could've been a bad burn and you might want to try copying your authentic disc again.
