But while I was playing today the "Console"... admin... told a player to change his name from hathcock. The player informed the "Admin" that it was a real name. Then the admin said he did not want to hear the STORY. After giving some details he changed his name anyway. Now shortly after that I shanged my name to 1 shot my bum... belt fed and then was immmediaty booted by the "console" admin. I think the admins are getting WAY too picky. I come in hear to enjoy myself but constantly seeing admin messages pop up is rediculious. If the admin wants to tell the player to change names then send the message only to him. stutters August 12, 2005 Share stutters GC Alumni August 12, 2005 i can't speak personally for that instance. this is a good chance to remind west admins if someone asks who is on console, identify yourself. first, thanks for the input. i've just had the pleasure of getting four new admins to the west coast server. keep in mind not all the cs community has the standards of gc. west is a new region, and we don't have the membership yet to help promote standards. we've had our work cut out for us to run a new and clean server in the wild wild west. over the weekend, i asked all the guys to tighten down the screws, and we're being far less tolerant. but then again, we've got a got banned forum for people on the receiving end of the enforcement. admins, keep up the good work. 22:38:32 (CT) rb: this server promotes .. non trash talk.. and forgivness.. dude. If the admin wants to tell the player to change names then send the message only to him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1. let's keep this going until you're enjoying yourself. if you're not having fun (and following the rules ), we need to change something. we'll figure something out, but might need your help. 2. again, my fault. if we enforce something, i asked the guys to say "no swearing" or "no porn sprays" or "insert reason for kick/ban here." people are generally oblivious to the rules, so this is the quick and easy way to remind everyone of them....and let them know we're serious. If we ask them in a private message and then kick them for not complying there will be far more people askin "why was he kicked?"
