Dingy July 3, 2006 Share Dingy Member July 3, 2006 Has anyone out there built any wooden toys? Reason I ask is that for the past few years I have been building wooden trains (mainly for gifts). It's a great way to make the scrap pile smaller. I'm looking to broaden my horizons a bit though. Part of the reason for this is that I keep getting volunteered by my wife - you know, the friends and nephews bit. And the stipulation is that I have to make the same thing for everyone (and when you need to do 12 at a crack it gets to be a bit of a pain). I am looking for other toys that are strudy enough to withstand kids (~5 yrs) and something that I don't have to spend a ton of time building - or a bunch of money getting all the fru-fru parts (although I have a lifetime supply of wheels and axles)...
