Brillow_Head September 17, 2006 Share Brillow_Head Member September 17, 2006 Yes yes, I've become hooked on the game of golf. I'm horrid at it right now cause I've only been at it for 3 weeks, but I'm in heaven when I'm on the course. My first single outing was today. I did a 9-hole run at our local club. Hole Out for the front nine is 36....um, I hit 64.... I botched it up big time on a par 3 and a par 4 where I hit a 7 and 10 respectively. Hole:Handicap:Mens Par:My Score 1:4:7:8 2:3:17:5 3:5:15:7 4:4:11:7 5:3:3:7 6:4:9:10 7:4:13:6 8:4:5:7 9:5:1:7 How do I determine my handicap? And how do I determine my handicap after every additional round. Golf is confusing and I cant hit the fairway to save my life. But man is it fun! Brew September 17, 2006 Share Brew Member September 17, 2006 i wouldnt worry about ur handycap right now. just know its above 30 (when asked, say 30+) but to get your official handy cap you can find a course that will take the average of a certain number of rounds played at their course and mail it in to the PGA. The PGA will mail a card back showing your handy cap. If you think you are improving, it starts to become a honor system type deal tip: I would just stop counting after 8 strokes. Thats bad enough they call it a snowman here in MN. and believe me, i know those very well! one more thing: always remember to keep those balls clean
TheGeek September 17, 2006 Share TheGeek Member September 17, 2006 Nice score! I use to hit a -10 on a 32 par. Not too good but I was 14. I havnt played since. So I picked up a golf club this year and lost 6 balls on 3 holes. I gave up. I felt like ramming the golf cart through the woods.
