Laz.e.rus November 23, 2006 Share Laz.e.rus Member November 23, 2006 First, SJ and I would like to thank everyone for all of their input and opinions on the Dynamic Weapon Pricing system as it's been tested out West in Immutable. Your impressions of it are, of course, what really count. It is still our hope that DWP will breathe new life into a game that has remained fundamentally the same for a long time, as well as continue to bring new faces with the changes. The system has a lot of potential, but has a few introductory kinks in it still. So, with those two things being said, here's a list of some of the changes being made now, and in the near future: - First, we will soon be removing DWP from Immutable, possibly today. This is temporary. - We will wait a short time for the DWP system to level itself out as we continue to monitor Steam's list of projected prices. Currently, we are shooting for a 4 week waiting period. - After that, DWP will be re-enabled for a set length of time. Probably another 4 weeks. - At the end of the 4 week trial period, there will be an anonymous vote posted for a set duration. After closing this vote, the permanent future of DWP in Immutable will be decided. Many of us have seen some negative impact from DWP so far, myself included (this is the reason for the waiting period). What many have not noticed is all the new players that started popping up after we advertised "DWP ON" in the server's title. Bringing in new blood is always a good thing. After all, thats where all of "US" came from!! You'll be kept updated on the situation through the forums, and through in-game advertising as we get closer to the various deadlines. I'd like to ask that until DWP is leveled and reinstalled, AND you have a chance to play it for a while in its "corrected" form, you hold onto any further opinions. Also, please remember!!: As with ANY topic that requires serious discussion, in-game (in the server) is NOT the place for it. Please refrain from discussing it there, as this would only interfere with the gaming atmoshpere as well as taint the opinions of the new people we hope to see registering and voting a short time from now. Again, thanks for all of your patience and opinions!!! - Laz and SJ
