Guest Instago December 28, 2006 Share Guest Instago Guests December 28, 2006 I was kicked on this server (west) around 9:30 MT time because an "intentional" teamkill. I killed a friendly player with a frag nade because I was unaware that he was around the corner. After the TK, I immediately apologized to the player using my microphone. Dude was on the same team as me at the time so he should have heard the apology. It was an unjust kick and shouldn't have happend. I was kicked because I accidentally TK'd a friendly and then apologized afterwards. Dude shouldn't be an admin if he's going to kick for accidental teamkills. ric3 e4ter December 28, 2006 Share ric3 e4ter Member December 28, 2006 yea i stand with instago on what he says there was no warnings there, not noticable at least b/c i was playing there at the same time as him maybe some things should be done to prevent these type of things from happening, and intago is a reg also, which would add to this. Laz.e.rus December 28, 2006 Share Laz.e.rus Member December 28, 2006 Ive PMd dude and asked him to repond here. In the meantime, sorry you got the boot there instago. Plz try to remember tho that often times admining can be a frenetic experience. Lots of things need to be taken into consideration for these kinds of things. Server atmospere, other TKs, and how much of the admins (dude's) attention was taken up on other issues as well. Sometimes it gets a little rough when you have to text-warn 3 people, stop and get a ID on a porn spray, toss a general warning bind, catch the name on who dropped the F bomb in team chat, and all the while trying to stay with the rush cuz your the bomb carrier
no pants December 28, 2006 Share no pants Member December 28, 2006 I was there as well. I've never had any problems with either player. I think it was just a bad call. But Dude has always been good when I played. I think this was an isolated incident and nothing more. There was a rash of TKs and one idiot stabbing teammates in the rounds leading up to the kick. I think things got heated.
Guest Dude- December 29, 2006 Share Guest Dude- Guests December 29, 2006 (edited) I was there as well. I've never had any problems with either player. I think it was just a bad call. But Dude has always been good when I played. I think this was an isolated incident and nothing more. There was a rash of TKs and one idiot stabbing teammates in the rounds leading up to the kick. I think things got heated. There was a rash of FF and TKs. I was sick of warning people to stop it, so I got out the kick. I tried nicely, multiple times. I saw insta FF multiple times on different occasions. While was alive, I keep seeing his name pop up with a FF (he was on the other team). Whether it is an accident or not, when you FF that many times Im not going to sit around when there are multiple people TKing or FF and ask whether this time it was an accident too. Were not talking one or twice, I dont kick for no reason. When I finally saw a TK after all the FF Id seen over the last 5 minutes, I didnt bother looking as to whether this time was accidental or not. I warned over and over for people to watch it, and he was part of a few people I kicked. A few accident shots here and there is one thing, but when I see one single player over and over and they cant watch it...and especially at a time when there are lots of other people FF and TKing...I kick them. If Insta feels this is totally unwarranted, well then he has my sincere apologies. But he must understand that he has to watch the FF...and hes especially gotta watch it when there are people who are FF'ing, TK'ing, swearing, talking back, not following rules... because when I am trying to juggle 5 different incidents and situations I dont always have time to sit there and ask whether this FF or TK was accidental or not. For some odd reason I have a memory of having an issue with Insta in the past...which probably did not my reaction. Let me know if there is anything else. I am pretty busy these days so feel free to PM me again if I dont respond (Laz or Insta) PS. I was on the other team I believe. I saw no apology. I do not use a microphone. I cannot concentrate on the gameplay when there are 10 people yelling at eachother. If you did apologize verbally, I apologize for not hearing it...but I hope you understand why you were kicked at that time. There obviously are no hard feelings from my side. Guest Dude- December 30, 2006 Share Guest Dude- Guests December 30, 2006 were you warning in admin say?? Cuz that usually gets the attention immediately, at least for me it does. Most certainly, although I try to give guys a chance to follow the advice of a .GC member before getting out the admin say when I am really serious. I only use admin as a last resort. Most likely Insta was having a rough day and just accidently shooting up his teammates a lot, but he got grouped into the rest of the idiots. Gotta watch the FF.
