[VI]ROosTEr April 22, 2003 Share [VI]ROosTEr Member April 22, 2003 OK, I did a lot of research on this last night, and couldn't really find much. Most of the things I read were "reinstall your video drivers, reinstall winamp, etc..." I am sure you have probably tried all of this, so I will continue looking. For right now though, that is all I could find. Could you post your winamp version, video card type, and driver version you are using?
dwEEziL April 22, 2003 Share dwEEziL Member April 22, 2003 Also post any "codec packs" you might have installed on your own. I have had several issues with videos as of late, but none like you have described.
RiZad April 22, 2003 Share RiZad Member April 22, 2003 sounds like he has the "blue man" problem
dwEEziL April 22, 2003 Share dwEEziL Member April 22, 2003 Well, if that is the case, I have solution for that but it is kind of drawn out and I don't want to have to go into it unless it is necessary.
SuperJo April 22, 2003 Author Share SuperJo Member April 22, 2003 Well i have winamp3 and geforce3ti200 video card. Everything else is fine, its jsut negative on some cs videos i watch in winamp. dwEEziL April 22, 2003 Share dwEEziL Member April 22, 2003 Any chance you can take a screenshot of the "negative video" and post it for clarification sake? There is an issue with Winamp3 where certain XviD-compressed videos will show basically normal except the people are blue. It doesn't sound to me like this is what you are talking about but a screenshot should verify it.
Asphyxiator April 23, 2003 Share Asphyxiator Member April 23, 2003 Dont use winamp3 to view your videos, as tempting as it may be. Winamp just came out with this feature and has not yet perfected it. Try DivX Player 2.0 or WM.
dwEEziL April 23, 2003 Share dwEEziL Member April 23, 2003 Excluding the "blue man" glitch (which is fixable with a little tweaking of ffdshow), I haven't had any problems with Winamp3 and video. Da' Playa (the player that comes bundled with the Divx codec) is the buggiest thing I have ever seen in my life. And I only use WMP as a last resort. If I can't watch it in Winamp, then I try PowerDVD, VPlayer, and as a last resort, Irfanview (and maybe Quicktime).
