Flitterkill November 7, 2012 Share Flitterkill GC Board Member November 7, 2012 It seems like a CDN is down or having problems on the east coast this afternoon. A cursory look for a decent internet status / weather report kinda-thing doesn't show much out there. Anyone know of anything I'm not seeing? Also don't everyone rush to volunteer to shepard FFO 2013 into existence...
stutters November 7, 2012 Share stutters GC Alumni November 7, 2012 I usually start here: http://www.internetpulse.net/ Then here: http://www.internettrafficreport.com/namerica.htm If I see something whacky, I head into Google News and do a time-restricted search (last 24 hours) for providers that are down. amertrash November 8, 2012 Share amertrash Member November 8, 2012 Cool links stutters. slashdot.org and Hacker News usually will have major CDN outrages posted at the top quickly.
Flitterkill November 8, 2012 Author Share Flitterkill GC Board Member November 8, 2012 Espn, a few other big sites were just timing out. A section of Reuters also was nulled. Felt like a CDN crapping out somewhere. Ya know, a google map heat map mashup thingy for internet connectivity weather would seem to be a good thing.
