Hendryx August 3, 2003 Share Hendryx Member August 3, 2003 MvC2 is much better than the original. Alot more characters and combos. My only gripe is the character unlocking system....bad times.

Mag, cable, psy mag, storm, psy storm, sent, commando mag, cable, sent Phat seems to know a decent team. DO the names JWong, Sanford, Desmond, and Arturo ring any bells? TeK August 4, 2003 Share TeK Member August 4, 2003 I've played against all of those people I've mentioned. Wong is the current MvC2 world champion. Heading out to Evolution 2k3 in about a week or 2 to compete for the World Champion title. If he wins it this will be the 3rd year in a row that he has won every single Major in the US. This past ECC in Dunellen,NJ which I attended he was almost taken out by a known florida player. It was probably the closest ANYONE has ever come to beating him. Wong had about 10% life with Mags and Mixup (FLorida player) had like a 15% storm. Wong cought mixup in a Mag combo and mixup took his hands off the controls unknowningly seeing Wong mess up the combo. Mixup was unable to get his hands on the control in time and Wong won. Wong went on to win the tourneyment but everyone in that place was going crazy after that match.

Phat_Splizzle August 4, 2003 Share Phat_Splizzle Member August 4, 2003 wow, howd you do against them? I saw wong lose a guy very early, and come from behind to win with magneto and cable. Craziest combos... Tek, you coming to the lan? Ill bring my dreamcast if you want to play.

Brahma_Bull August 4, 2003 Share Brahma_Bull Member August 4, 2003 I rock Spliff's world in MvC2. Cable, Juggernaut, Iron Man Iron Man, Juggernaut, Commando Commando, Gambit, Juggernaut say what you want spliffy, we know who has the belt!
TeK August 4, 2003 Share TeK Member August 4, 2003 Dweezil. Hes going to Evo 2k3 out in Cali. All the best players from around the US and Japan are coming. The names are mentioned are all top players in the US and needless to say beat me. They are all cool as hell in real Life. BTW, a lot of those magneto combos you see in videos I can do except for the crossups. I can do mags infinite with ease and work my way well with him. I'm prolly a lot better than you think I am ;o. No, I'm not coming to the LAN, I have work obligations and wish I could go but I am unable to. Sry.
Guest Inferno August 20, 2003 Share Guest Inferno Guests August 20, 2003 w00t my game just arrived. Now i need to figure out the best controller setup. What do you guys have for your controls, cause i cant even do 1 combo attack with what i have. ty.
Phat_Splizzle August 20, 2003 Share Phat_Splizzle Member August 20, 2003 um, ps2 right? Basic fighter controls for the four x.square, o, and triangle, and L2 as A send in, and R2 as B send in. If its DC, default controls. Practice will help your combos, not setup of your buttons
Guest Inferno August 20, 2003 Share Guest Inferno Guests August 20, 2003 well its for PS2, just whenever i go to combo or anything like that, hell even attack, it calls in my partner and im like..........wth............
Phat_Splizzle August 20, 2003 Share Phat_Splizzle Member August 20, 2003 Dont press 2 of the same buttons at once if youre not planning on it, x and square together send in partner A, and o and triangle together send in partner B. A simple combo would be x, x, o - your basic light kick med kick high kick combo.

dwEEziL August 26, 2003 Share dwEEziL Member August 26, 2003 You should get yourself a custom game pad. My roommate has about 4-5 of them that is just like the arcade buttons in a 18"x10" box.
