I was telling someone on here the other day to avoid the 9600non pro and 9600se because they perform really badly when compared to a 9600pro.

Hardocp posted a lil article today to show everyone what to expect from cards of this caliber and they werent really impressed either.

The prices of the low end 9600's and 9200se along with nvidia's 5600Non ultra and 5200 seem nice but the price you pay in performance is very drastic.

However, id put any of these card in a secondary box since most of them are under 100 bucks.

They would run any Direct X 7 or 8 game with some details on so its not a bad deal from some aspects.

If you want some HL2 or [H]ardcore OpenGL action outa DOOM 3 then maybe you should wait and save some monies.

The 9200SE that the OCP reviewed is REd though so I guess thats cool

;)

even if it isnt the fastest card ever.

I own a 9600non-pro and while it wont play UT2k3 or COD like i would like; it will run them.

Just keep that resolution down and forget about QUality settings or AA and AF that makes a game like UT2k3 really look freaking awsome.
