Yeah I was thinking about using es_ as the prefix.. but I gues escape maps already use them.. Yeah source will allow me to make diffrent prefix's cause it's just the name of the map.. but we need to come up with a good prefix cause I don't know if es_ is gonna fly.. Also does .gc ever host a custom map night on their servers? and sadly assassination maps aren't in the game I miss them too.

Alright I started working on my first map a week ago based on this concept: Instead of making a map where the CT's had to breach into some place and rescue four hostages I wanted to make a map where the CT's already start with a hostage and they have to escort him through the map to safety. Basiclly it would be like the old school VIP maps, only no one plays the hostage . I've already posted on the Steam forums seeking advise and I have found some great help, but a little bit more can never hurt. That's why I'm post here. The folks on the steam forums have pointed out: -The map needs two rescue points, just as there is two bomb sites in de_maps -That CT's would get $300 for just picking up the hostages, so I decided that there would only be one hostage they could rescue... I feel this doesn't unbalance the game too much.. even though there is greater chance the game turns into a deathmatch if the hostage dies. That's basically it. So as I said I started working on the map.. it's a very simple map just so I can test out the map concept. It's based of a shanty town.. using this picture I found on the web (WARNING: it's a rather large imagine) Shanty Town . I'll try to post some pictures of the my map as soon as I figure out how ImageShack works that's it.. any input or further discussion/praise would be cool.

Standard maps not included in rotation: de_chateau - Always a fun map to play on, I won't mind seeing it on the scopeless server, lots of action. de_piranesi - I like this map, but I could pass playing it on a scopeless server de_prodigy - Personally I think prodigy is a must for the rotation, I would very much like to play this on your scopeless server. It's one of my favorite maps because I'm a very big fan of CQB. de_tides - a beautiful CQB map. I can understand why some people don't like this map, when I first played it I disliked it greatly.. but then it started to grow on me. I think on a Scopeless server this map would be a lot of fun. I believe the more variety we have the more fun the server will be. Having alot of maps to play on keeps the game fresh. I have a few questions too... Is there anyway to set the map rotation on random? After playing on your server for a couple weeks now I know the map rotation pretty well, it would be kinda interesting to mix it up.. also, what are your thoughts on changing the map rotation from a set time to a set number of rounds won? i.e. When one team wins 12 rounds the map changes instead of having the map running for 20 minutes (or however long you guys have it run for). Granted this might move through the rotation quicker but it will give, I feel, the teams to pay more attention to how many wins their team is pulling in. Plus if one team is really doing poorly then the map can be moved through quicker then having to wait till the time is up. Also.. it would be interesting to give the winning team (first team to reach 12 rounds won) some sort of reward.. like maybe the ability to pick the next map? Just some ideas that popped into my head. Mainly I would like to see Prodigy in the rotation: I love that map. edited to further reflect my opinion: In Javabomberman's post below mine he mentions that he despises de_Aztec. I have to agree with him. It's the one map in the rotation that makes me quit the server to work on my homework.... so maybe in that respect it's good, but as a map, I greatly dislike it. I don't know why, it is an illogical hate.

I support what you guys are doing. I must say that your guys server is the best I've played on, people work togther as teams which I love, and the scopeless server is a brilliant idea for those players who are tired of getting downed by the auto-sniper. At first the no swearing rule was hard to follow because the majority of the Counter-Strike counter culture cusses and rags on each other, so it felt unnatural to not swear. But the rule is a good one and it has taught me to take more notice to the heavy swearing I do in real life. What I really hope is that as I play on your server (I'm not banned on your stock CSS server, plz let me stay) the good atmosphere you guys present will rub off on me and I'll start cutting down on my cussing in real life. Thank you for listening, I can see that this is a very good community.

you are right Brillow. and I will take this shot to my pride. I am sorry that this happened. I really enjoyed playing on your guys server, I loved the teamwork and the no scopes. Thanks for letting me play on it while I could. You guys have taught me a valuable lesson, a lesson I actually prayed for.

Actually since I've started playing on your server I have cut down on my swearing. This offence was the only offence of mine since two days ago when I accidentely said 'damn'. Yes, they are your servers. Yes, they are your rules. So you guys win.

I'm not really sure why I was banned, I know I was kicked a few times while playing on your Scopeless server for killing teammates by accident in fire fights, but I was always able to connect back to your guys server.
