Ok, so I created a CIV IV channel on the TS server so we can use that tonight instead of that lousy CIV IV VOIP. Voodoo, Brillow, you guys still available to play?

I'm available tonight. Any thoughts on time? I could be ready to go by 6:30 EST. Lets get on the TS server to. Maybe we can get somebody in there to create a CIV IV channel.

There was a point last night that I was -11gp/turn, but I had just mauled a couple barbarian villiages so I was flush with cash. Now I have research at 80% and I'm making +5gp/turn. I think it's cause of the number of cities I have. I did have to build markets and courthouses in them to get back into the black, but the more cities you have the more $$$ you can generate if you have the right city improvements. You can also set the city governor in your good income-generating cities on maximum commerce to improve cash-flow. For happiness, you can't let your cities grow to fast, or they'll get miffed real fast. Depending on your civices, you can combat the sad faces with military units/buildings, religious buildings, and in the larger cities make some of the citizens priests. And of course you can build wonders that will improve city mood.
  9. Besides helping to pay for the servers, the $50 dollars gets you a reserve slot on all the GC servers. So even when the servers full, when you connect a non-GC will be disconnected to make room for you. No more problems like you're describing. Sounds like money well spent to me

Heh, lets gang up on her! Now that we have Galleons, Brillow and I can send some troopies over to help. *Edit: Here's the info for the GC Teamspeak server, lets jump on that for next time.

Wanna give it to 8:30 and if we don't see Brillow we'll start then?

Brillow, are you hosting this game? If so we need your IP. Also, I don't know if CIV IV has voice, so maybe we could use Teamspeak if not?

There are definitely one or two civics that allow the draft, Police State being one of them. It lets you draft four units per turn, and I believe that is four over your entire civ/turn, not four per city per turn.

I've only ever used the draft when I needed urgent help in a city that was about to fall, but using it in this situation looks like a good idea! Thanks Brillow!

    CIV IV

I got it now, thanks. I'm not sure if its doing what i want it too. I want to lower the population of my city, so people don't get so mad. Will slavery do it? Is there any other way? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hurrying production via slavery will definitely reduce the population. You can also stop growth for a while so your city won't expand until you get a chance to build some buildings that will improve happiness. Or I think you can also use negative growth ( starvation ) to reduce the population.

    CIV IV

Yes, I miss it to. I also miss not being able to change production directly from the city adviser screen and not being able to upgrade all units of a particular kind from the military adviser screen.

    CIV IV

You have to tell it to hurry production. At the bottom of the city screen, just to the right of the window where the units/buildings that are available to be built are shown, there are a bunch of buttons. One of the two buttons on the top is the hurry production button.

Well, Attilla, errr Voodoo, if you are using the slavery civic, you can hurry production using population instead of cash.
  21. I really liked that doom map. Somebody's gotta find Ice's hidey hole though. He kept killing me and I don't where from! I still like losttemple and I agree that it's time for de_office to go. cs_office_extended is pretty good though.

  23. You can get a Gmail account if you're invited by someone who already has one. Or, you can sign up for an account using your mobile phone. Currently, we're only able to offer this promotion in the United States, but we are working hard to make it available in more countries. Thats teh suck, Eh?
