So I have been pretty pumped up for the last 2 weeks knowing I am get the pleasure of a few days off work and a weekend with you folks. I took Thurs - Mon off to also squeeze in some "boxers and couch" days... Soooo...when explaining my excitement to other their eyes glaze over in an odd way..Thank god I have a cool wife that understands my gaming ways but I have been laughed at my inlaws. My dear brothers wife though it was HILARIOUS that I was traveling with all my gear 4 hours away to play games and to meet with others I have never meet. I mean she was in tears when I explained we all get shirt that proudly represent "Fellowship of the Ping"....and we haver sponsers and deals with Taco Bell. Don't get me wrong I had more fun in telling her that she did in her laughter.. Does anyone else think you are a nerd???

I read that the hotel has Wi-Fi. I plan on bringing a PCI wireless NIC. I can let ya borrow it to grab your updates if needed.

I can bring 3 new Western Digital HDD's still in their sealed static bags. I figured if anyone has problems with a drive going bad they could be handy to have. With 80+people and all the traveling being done..well..you never know. These are extra 250GB drives we have for our News server at work. My boss said he would let them go for $100 each. I am not even worried ma' man. I told you I have an extra board for you to use if need be. It is an Intel D865GBF. Specs are here: http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/bf/index.htm Not top of the line but as long as you have your CPU, GPU, RAM, HDD, and sound (it does have onboard sound)...you are more than welcome to borrow it. I even have a DVD-ROM at your disposal. Let me know..and if it gets to crunch time I will start the teardown. You will still have a lot of fun ahead with Windows and other apps to install.

A very good topic indeed and something I have also thought about. I also am a trusting person. I can only assume that all the people who are coming and have paid the fee for not only entry but also the room are of a mature nature. I think the idea of trusting veterans is where it is at. If you trust them to watch the ballroom would you also trust them enough to lock it up when everyone is crashing? I dont see myself lasting past 4 or 5am at the latest....but I will give it everything I have!

15!! One day more than 2 weeks!

Well I tried a few times with a few options but I keep on getting the following: There are no rooms available for the requested rate that meet your travel requirements. So..I called: 1-330-653-9191 Asked for 2 double beds/smoking and gave the code as FRG. No problemo. Room reserved for 2 nights at $79 + tax(per night). She even asked if I was with FragFest. I think I giggled. I also asked how many rooms were left. She said there were still a lot - but like Fatty said - get em while you can. Can't wait to meet everyone!

Thanks for the reminder. I had kind of forgotten to reserve the room and I did not even think about other events going on at the hotel. I keep getting a message that are no rooms available. I will try once more and if no dice I will call. Of course I will remember to add the booking code for discount and credit to FF. I will update when I figure this all out.

No worries.. He will scrounge hard. Otherwise he gets the What board you need? I have a DVD-ROM you can use. If I remember you have a SFF and will need for an RMA. I can and will assemble a P4 with FSB800. As long as nothing else got fried. You aint getting out easy!
