    Heh, yesterday I was rushing short A on D2 as a CT.  I led the rush and tossed a FB as I approached the steps, I was just short of the crate on the left. 

     

    Well...my FB bounced off this little lip of a wierd window on the right wall that I never noticed (and you probably haven't either) and flashed all the guys following me and myself.  DOH!

    Yes valve game physics LOL gotta love it. :smiling2:

    Hello all,

     

    I own a small computer repair shop thats doing good business with pc's and linux based computers. But recently there have been a lot of Mac owners needing hardware and software troubleshooting help. The last time I used a Mac was the Apple 2e that I still have in my basement! I usually have to turn them away as Im unable to help them and the local Macintosh shop isnt well staffed or managed. I hate to do it but I cant give good custmer support to a product Im not familier with. Any of you Mac addicts out there know of any good manuals on current Mac OSX and hardware troubleshooting books please let me know. Also its that time again. I have to take the A+ hardware/software, MCSEWinXP, CCNA and Linux/Unix Certifications again. Im confident I can pass the exams easily but would like feedback from you folks on good study guides for the tests. Thanx, The Rev.

    Remeber back in day when we all started to play CS for the first time back in '00 or so? whats the first thing you learned? was it how to team speak, hack (God forbid and we hate you), setup your keyboard the way you like it, or maybe it was stomping the 56k'ers with your blazin ISDN line (LOL) or cable modem. What the rest of us learned is this: Dont team flash and dont stand in the galdarn doorways! This is easy. The first guy in the charge tosses the fb's, HE's or whatever. Not the guy in the middle or the rear. All you end up doing is blinding the rest of us. Its true somtimes we all miscalculate and an fb bounces off the wrong way, it happens. But what we see a lot is a great many "loners" who dont really care what the rest of the team is doing and have there own agenda. Like throwing fb's into a room that they know there teammates are in as well as the enemy just to get some frags. Usually at the expence of the rest of us in the room. Im not saying run with the group all the time, but please use fb's or HE's (if ff is on) sparingly. The second thing is probably the most annoying of all, The infamouse door blocker! Why he does it we may never know. Maybe he lagged at that critical point? It happens. Maybe he changed his mind and couldnt go back because the bunch of muldoons behind him all cant seem to back up. Or maybe they do it on purpose, who knows. We catch ourselves doing it by accident somtimes. But nothing stops a good rush of 24 terrorist muldoons than one doofus stopping at a seriouse bottleneck like a doorway where quickly getting to a good firing position is crucial. Folks if you must stop in a doorway or cramped space please step to one side so the rest of us crazy muldoons can barrel through to our deaths!

    Hello guy and gals just a quote from the Rev.

     

    The great master of the Art of War (not the Wesley Snipes movie) once said to a pupil: "One should not use a hammer to remove a fly from a friends head". What does this mean you might think? Folks it has to do with overkill. Take for instance yesterday when I was playing CS in dust3. I was waiting for the T's to barrel through the door as usual to meet the mighty Deagle when I got flashed. Normally Im used to this and my screen gos complete whiteout for a full 10 secs (Dont know why, I was told it had somthing to do with my model monitor) but anyway. As I was able to see again I was hit with 6, yes thats 6 (SIX) consecutive flashbangs. Why you might be asking would someone toss a total of seven fb's into a room? to disorientate? sure, but how long did they wait outside the door for them all to dissipate? And as I was standing there I noticed before the whiteout that 3 of there own teammates came up the stairs and also recieved a triple dose of the same overkill that stopped me. The moral of the story boys and girls, take it easy on the fb's.

    All of that aside, (Im not one for politics) What we should all really be tinkled about is valve hit physics, ie hitboxes. Now I know, thanx to my degree in physics, that some of the things that happen in this great game are bull. Take for instance the m4. All of us that were in the military know that if you stand 10 feet from someone with this weapon. aim and unload at full auto they die. In cs you can miss completely. P90 or c90 in real life, is designed to penetrate level 3 body armor at 100 yards but not sheetrock in walls. Why doesnt the 50 cal Deagle do the damage its supposed to? And why cant valve add new weapons to an already great game like a 44 mag revolver and a few new rifles? We have the SAW(m249) already how about an M60? maybe we need to petition valve to do some updates? I think what makes a lot of gamers angry is the fact that some other gamers are just good at the game and dont expect real world physics to be correct like when you unload at full auto with your ak at 5 feet and nothing, then they pop you once with a glock and dead. But thats just me, every game cant be perfect as we all know. But if issues like this are adressed many wont be so tinkled. And oh by the way, the AK 47 .308 round doesnt penetrate level 3 govt issue body armor at more than 50 feet. I know this because in Desert Storm we tested this one day when we were bored. Our M16a2 on the other hand did. (That was to settle an arguement someone had) Anyway Thanx, The Rev. :peace:

    Could have been me. I belive I had said that it wasnt hacks many many times but you had keept saying it was a hacker and wouldn't drop it. Next time pay attention to the console, usualy admins know whats going on and they will tell you. IF you post up your steam id myself or someone will get you unbanned.

    Hey all i know its been a long time since i talked to all of you but now i come to u in a time of need. i have had a major problem accure in my life and here it is.

    well i have decided to let everyone in on my life to let you know how bad things are for me. as of a week ago my wife left me for another man. she also left me with about $20k dollars in debt and no money. really i only have $40 now. i make enough money to pay for my car, my insurance, my rent and utilities at my place. now my problem is i dont make enough money to pay the credit card debt. she also pawned her wedding ring and enagagment ring that i was paying on. i dont even have the moeny to file bank ruptcy. if any of u know a way to help me out please let me know. i dont have much time before i lose everything cuz of the debt. if anyone has advice or can give some support or just anything let me know.

    Im not sure what the laws are in maryland about financial debt, but in South Dakota, where Im at, if you make any effort to pay a debt such as loans or credit cards, they cant sue you in court. This amout can be as small as 20 bucks or 1 buck a month as long as you make an effort to pay. Like I said I dont know the laws of your state though. As for bankrupcy dont do that yet. Now you can only file chapter 11. Which is structered repayment, not like chapter 7 where no one could make you pay anything. In South Dakota if someone tries to take you to court while youve been making an effort to pay on a debt, the judge would throw it out. But check your local laws. Thanx, The Rev. <_<

    Admins Banning

    I was playing a few weeks ago as usual. The round eneded and I was at spawn as T like the rest of my team. We hadnt even started buying when a few of the cts were already on us. We all knew it was an admin teleporting people but I wasnt sure. I said was somone hacking or was it just me. My teammates said it was the admin who was a ct. I said the hacks need to stop. Thats when I got permanently banned from the server. The guy knew what he was doing but no one wanted to say anything. How do I get unbanned? Thanx The Rev. :bang:
