  1. Looks like the only other place that got attacked was shift's treehouse. They torched it. Sorry man.

But again, people, check your stuff, see if anything it missing.

  2. So I just logged on, found 3 guys unknown guys running around: bluebluecar, killercripple, and deathsson. Didn't know them so I was watching them on dynmap. They appeared to be just flying around, and I saw they were around my stuff. Apparently I didn't lock all my chests, so they took some of my things (looks like just diamonds & iron, which I will refund shortly to the best of my recollection). They also blew the crap out of my castle. Now, I'm not sure if all 3 were griefers, but I banned bluebluecar and killercripple, didn't get to deathsson (I hesitated, as I thought I'd seen him before, but he was zooming around just like the other 2 so I probably should've just banned immediately. Anyway, I'm about to check for damages to other people's things, but keep an eye out for anything that looks amiss. I'll post any other damages I find. The only other places I saw them at on the dynmap were jeho's place and shift's place. Hopefully they didn't mess them up like my castle. Not that I care about my castle, because it was crap anyway.

But yeah, just a heads up.

  3. Hurray for self-serving irrelevant changes of subject!

But seriously, I'm largely against any use of the 'give' command. I haven't tried to farm slime yet, so I don't really know how glitchy it is, but I'm still adverse to just giving yourself what you need, regardless of what it is.

  4. You posted it yourself:

Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.

This game is rated for violence, not language. Those of us that play on our server prefer it this way, so that's the way it will stay.

  5. Ohhh yes. Here is the second instalment of this edition of the Monthly Double!

It's not really meant to be funny, though the idea made it out to be. If that makes sense. Anyway, it's called 'Sensitive Skin', and it's about having skin that cries at movies, and betrays your more sentimental side, even when you don't want it to.

Oh yeah, it also features the only recording of me on a mandolin currently in existence. Judge accordingly.

  6. Oh, it's only the 14th? Yes, well, we missed a deadline at the end of May, so we're making up for it with a release today and a release tomorrow.

This song is a parody of Sh-Boom, by The Crew Cuts (not originally, I forget the first performing group's name), and it's called 'Life Could Be a Dream'

You can check it out on our site here: The Oat Poets

    Next post will be tomorrow!

And as always, share and enjoy! <3

  7. End of the month? Already? Neat!

This track is called 'Junk in my Trunk', and it's about an elephant that can't deal with the stress of the Savannah, and so turns to drugs. It's quite heartwarming, really. Mild drug references (obviously)

  8. Oh, hello! I've missed you! And missed a deadline :(

But we're back on track, and this time with a video! It's an infomercial for Ninja Pills, a product that will turn you in to a ninja for a set amount of time! Based on a jingle we wrote for a project in college, we built a low quality video around it! And the 'female' backing vocals are intentionally terrible. We considered not using them at all, but thought they were funny.

(P.S. I'm the one without the glasses)

((I should also note there is a bit of foul language in this, maybe once or twice))

  9. So this year, like last year, I'm running in a 24 hour relay race for a charity called the Easter Seals. They help people with disabilities to afford the equipment they need to make it a little easier to live. Last year our team ran the most of any team and raised the most money of all the non-corporate teams, and it was our first year! So we have a lot to live up to this year! I'm a little better prepared physically this time around, though my stamina is less than adequate. We'll see how it goes. It's a fun time and for a good cause!

If any of you would be willing to donate, my page is HERE (Only myself from the Oat Poets will be racing this year, as my counterpart is out of town)

So yeah, if you could help out, that'd be grand!

    Much love <3

  10. Snap, we're on time for this one!

This is a parody of 'The Final Countdown' by Europe. It's called 'The Carebear Countdown, and applies liberal amounts of autotuning. It's quite mellow.

Have a nice Sunday Sunday Sunday!

  11. So with my Oat Poets project taking up the vast majority of my creative juices, I haven't done a lot of work on my own. But I've done some work on covers. The only one I've finished so far (sort of) is a cover of 'Origin of Love', which is from an interesting movie called 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch'. I like the original better than mine, but if I didn't like the original, I suppose I wouldn't have done a cover. Anyway.

    Origin of Love

The original on YouTube can be enjoyed

  12. So we're a little late on this one. My buddy was moving and he had most of the files.

Anyway, this one is a rap. Has a few swears and drug references for you sensitive types. I think we're calling it 'Head Hit the Floor'.

There's no write-up yet (probably tomorrow) but here's a link to the mp3: Head Hit the Floor

Hopefully we won't be late next time. Think it might be another parody. And for consistency, here's the link to our website again: OatPoets

  13. Happy mid-April!

This time 'round, we've got another movie tribute! This one is with regards to that delightful travesty 'Troll 2', and the song is called 'Oh My God!'

  14. Holy smokes, end of the month already!

Well, we were planning on doing a cover of David Bowie's Suffragette City, but instead did a parody called Boba Fett City. Weird.

Anyway, the production value isn't terrific, and we'll probably redo this one once we have enough tracks for an album or something.
