Baltimore at Tennessee: Baltimore
Buffalo at Indianapolis: Indianapolis
Cleveland at Atlanta: Atlanta
Green Bay at Minnesota: Green Bay (Minn looked awful against San Fran of all teams)
Houston at Jacksonville: Jacksonville
Kansas City at Miami: Kansas City
New Orleans at Pittsburgh: New Orleans
NY Jets at New England: New England
San Diego at Cincinnati: San Diego
San Francisco at Detroit: Detroit
Washington at Philadelphia: Philadelphia
Denver at Oakland: Denver
Dallas at Arizona: Dallas (groin-punch game last week, they'll bounce back against sorry arizona)
St. Louis at Seattle: Seattle
Chicago at NY Giants: Chicago (losing Strahan really hurts)
Tampa Bay at Carolina: Carolina
After all those crazy games last weekend, I can't possibly do as poorly this week...

"forceful coersion" = ramming them, yes. unrealistic, i know
they are more aggresive in trying to hold their position though, that might be just part of the coding that went wrong or something with the AI.
-
This came out last week (I think). So far, I'm almost half way through the game. It's pretty fun, you get to bring an ally with you to your races instead of you being able to go it alone. One of the things I hate about the game is if you hit another racer, your car slows down to a halt. You can't disable them in any way because your speed goes to nothing. My signature racing move in Flatout 2 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted was to PIT people (what cops do). Now, I'm sad because you can't do that in this game...
I have actually PIT'ed someone before, but it was very difficult and required rather forceful coersion
The AI cars tend to fight more for position than they used to...
PIT'ing the five-oh though is still possible and a favorite pursuit breaking method of mine

I am waiting until there is a consensus on the HD format (HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray) before I decide to get a player for either of these. Reminds me of when DVDs were brand new and everyone was waiting for them to pick a single format. One of them ought to win eventually, then they will start selling like crazy and the prices may start to drop some.
you may be better served to wait, imho.

Tennessee over Jacksonville? You're delusional.
I don't have much faith in Gerard, and Houston beat em. I usually pick an upset game every week, and last week that was Oak vs Pit......and we all know how that turned out!
Pittsburgh is 2-5 now. That's not much of an upset...
The Raiders beating anyone right now would be an upset.... including the NCAA AP Top 10.
and ftr:
Kansas City at St. Louis: St. Louis
Houston at NY Giants: Giants
Tennessee at Jacksonville: Tennessee
New Orleans at Tampa Bay: New Orleans
Dallas at Washington: Dallas
Miami at Chicago: Chicago
Green Bay at Buffalo: Green Bay
Cincinnati at Baltimore: Cincinnati (my attempt at an upset special)
Atlanta at Detroit: Atlanta
Minnesota at San Francisco: Minnesota
Denver at Pittsburgh: Denver
Cleveland at San Diego: San Diego
Indianapolis at New England: Indianapolis
Oakland at Seattle: Seattle (but closer than you may think)

besides, learning a video editing suite on a PC is as hard, if not harder, than learning the mac OS and final cut pro.
I disagree. Videostudio is an extremely easy program to learn, with a step-by-step assembly line layout that can produce professional-looking video. It practically holds your hand through the process.
I know mac users are in love with their OS and will vehemently defend it. I'm sure its a great operating system. If it were me that only wanted to do some video editing coming from a windows background, I would much rather learn a new easy to follow program than have to learn the ins and outs of a new operating system AND a new professional video editing program.
Anyways, just my 2 cents
-
stick with a pc so she doesnt have to learn a new OS, buy ulead videostudio, then let her go to town. I have edited plenty of video using that program on this laptop, which has been resonably quick. Put it on a desktop, and that will only get better.
Ulead Videostudio is extremely user-friendly, easy to use, and good bang for the buck.
When she wants to go pro though, you'll have to dish out $850 for Adobe Premier Pro 2.0
-
$10 (hey, it's better than the Inspiron 6000D I'm typing this on )

again, if you're looking for a performance increase then ditch that old p4 and get a new core 2. you'll see fps gains in the area of at least 50%.
I made such a switch, and got performance changes in CS:S from 65-80 fps average to 180-200 fps average. Went from P4 630 to core 2 E6600. Here's my setup (only changes were mobo/cpu):
Intel Core 2 E6600
Asus P5B
eVGA 7800GT CO
2GB Corsair ValueRAM (cheap, yet effective)
WD200GB SATA2

The adobe program I use now is Premier Pro 2.0. Unfortunately, it's cost prohibitive since it's around $850. There are discounts for academic affiliation, etc. It's the program of choice for professionals, but imo videostudio should be perfect for what you are looking to do, preach.
to be honest, there is a bit of a learning curve with the adobe program, in that if you're new to video editing it may be a struggle at first. The ulead program is very user friendly, and employs an "assembly line" process that steps you through the video editing process. It's the program I learned how to "professionally" edit digital video, which is why I recommend it. Either way you go, you can get professional quality video and can also produce DVDs with some limited menu features as well.
gl and hf with your video editing!
