What a coincidence, i came here to post my joining the workforce as well, and seen this post before i did. I start monday also, at a local Cell provider called Revol, as a switch technician. Basically I will work at the NOC and troubleshoot problems, upgrade servers, and call field tech's if there is a valid problem out at a site. Im interested in hearing the kind of work Xterminator will be doing as well.

I apologize for that rant, but not for the content inside of it. ecko wanted kookie to be on his team, becouse for the few maps before that, he kept asking her to be on his team. Thats no biggie, i try to get on the same teams as blah and mf-d00m alot as well. Not to mention my brother adumbpolock who apparently found his name wasnt gc friendly. But thats drifting from the point The difference was that i always asked someone else to switch with me, or waited for the teams to allow for a switch. I never allowed two rounds of mayhem to go by just assuming autoswitch would give a player of worth. In any case, i consider the matter closed. I needed to vent my frustrations last night and i did, and maybe from doing so, a situation like this wont happen again.

playing on italy, map just started, i was CT. kookie was on my team. we were down 0/2 teams were 7/7. i died, no biggie. ecko tells Kookie to go T, it wasnt a trade, it was just for her to switch teams... now teams are 8/6. we won that last round, but still. at the time of it we had 0 wins, and were working with pistols against a team that had two wins under its belt. and a trade like that happened. I called attention to it, and caught some flak... Hives and ecko were both T, and i think they should have known better, but for the next two rounds CT's were losing, at 8/6 and the only answer i got was from kookie herself saying "monthos its only a game". Yes its only a game, but its designed to try to be fair, and a game thats supposed to be fun. I have seen people force switched, and even kicked for that same action, yet when i drew attention i was basically told to shut up, jusding from the reaction. I like you hives and ecko, but that the heck was that, its hard enouph as CT on italy, without trying to deal with teamstacks... yes my rants over now, i needed to vent, this agrivated me enouph i had to quit the game. see you guys tomorrow.

Its okay, whenever i cant get in i just keep CS open, minimize and keep refreshing from steam until i see an open spot. normally takes about 10 minutes to get in at the busy point of the day.

Okay, now correct me if i am wrong here, i have been a server admin awhile as well, up until CS around the early 1.X's, when i moved and didnt have broadband until around Feb this year. If the server was 25players, with 3 reserves that would be 11v11 normal players, and the 3 reserves would be for when reserved players joined. since when did it change to 22 of 25 players in, and a reserve joins, it kicks someone, even though the server can still fit two more if that person stayed? whats the point of a 25limit, if it kicks the 22nd person all the time to allow for the reserve. This especially bugs me, since I know if seen more than 22 people in the server before, i know i have! Another thing i was really wondering was my first question too, since i was active when i was kicked for a timeout, i know thats not a server setup problem (at least i hope not) but i was hoping for some imput on that as well. I was active, and i definatly wasnt lagging like i said earlier. and i was disconnected for a timeout, im really wondering if their wasnt a recent join, and the server had a bug as it searched for the real lagger. Who known, i dont have the source to the engine, and wouldnt wanna deal with it anyways. Anyways, i cant join GC at this time, becouse i am unemployed. Wish me luck though, a local cell provider is looking to hire me, that would be an AWESOME 17$/hr. Im drooling right now

So i was happily playing on noscope chicago, and suddenly, in the middle of playing and talking, so i know i wasnt lagging out. i got disconnected for a timeout? shots registestered seconds before.... I reconnect and play for about 5 minutes, map changes and we are having fun in the first round of piranesi. I get booted and redirected to another server! I thought that was only when joining you get booted? I looked at the server list and it was 22/25 slots used, and leveler had just joined. Could there have been a wierd bug in the reserved slots system? Is that normal behaviour? or am i just bugging out today?

i know how that feels, a week or so ago i had to replace my brothers water pump and thermostat in his nissan. They do NOT make them easy to get to. Coolant on alot of cuts myself too. And here here to the 8.15 in the bank, ill have 3 or 4 tomarrow after car insurance does its monthly deduction. Makes me wonder how im ever going to get my dirtbike engine back together and running. I bought the piston last june, and im finally now starting to work on it. I need a new camchain i realised today, and its $49 Fear my 1990 Suzuki DR350....

The reason it isnt enabled by default is becouse it puts additional stress on the server and client, as they try to keep all the physics on all the clients/server in total sync. Alot of servers cant handle that load, especially when dealing with 25 clients. But if the gc servers are half as good as i think they are, it might just work as well.

seriously. please remove it from rotation. it would make alot of people very happy.
