I'm not entirely sure if this post will matter, since it probably won't get reviewed/responded before the ban is over, but I nonetheless feel it necessary to try.
So, as just about everyone online knows, our team was just getting crushed. Like, 300 vs 2300 crushed; we literally didn't get more than 12 feet out of the saferoom on the third map. So, on the 4th map of Dead Air, we decided to stay in the safe room, and here is where people started getting upset. I have no idea how long we were in there; I would estimate about 5-10 minutes. Anyways, after a time Tsunami showed up and told us that we had to leave the safe room, and we obliged. Interestingly enough, the point farming worked out and we subsequently managed to score more points in the 4th round than we had in the first three rounds COMBINED, but that's not where the ban came around.
In the 5th round, we stayed in the safe room again; HOWEVER, unlike the 4th round, we were in fact encouraged to do so by the infected team. We were told they'd stop attacking and let one person (nemesis) go out and start the event, while the rest of us remained safe. Others on the infected team later disputed this, and said that they were still upset at our griefing, BUT, there are two details I find important.
1. How was it that Nemesis safely made it to the truck fighting off 5+ infected on his own? Especially in a big open map like the Dead Air finale?
2. Why didn't they ask the rest of us to leave the safe room, or vocalize their disagreement with the plan to send one person out?
In any case, there were TEN survivors, and at least one infected, but I imagine more, who were O-K with this strategy. Eventually, however, we figured out that Nemesis didn't really start the event, he only hit the radio. Thus, the rest of us went out to start the event, and then we hid under an overhang. *Queue Tsunami's entrance.* She came in and, without paying any attention to the survivors' side of the story, banned Turbo and then Me (if anyone else I don't know). In my opinion, this is unfair, since at least 11 of the 20 people on the server, and presumably more, were fine with our behavior on the 5th map. There was no vocalization of unhappiness with our strategy, and in fact we only witnessed support for it, at least insofar as the 5th map was concerned.
TL;DR - 11 people were fine with us playing like that on the 5th map, tsunami was mad because people, including her, hadn't been happy on the 4th map, she singled out me and turbo for bans, I think this is unfair.
If the infected had been acting upset in the 5th map, and if they hadn't let Nemesis start the event, I would see this as legitimate. But they did/didn't, and thus I don't think it's fair.
