Ok I watched the 2nd half and it was not as good. It ended kinda cheesy once the kid gets posessed. I like the haunting stuff much more. so I give it a 3/5

thanks for the quick review! I will stay far away. Wierd how sometime some movies will put in a scene that disgusts alot of people. You know one for me would be Arnolds movie about the devil coming for the end and this baby is born and it's this girl who the devil is supposed to breed with. The devil has a scene where hes scrwing this guys wife and daughter in the bed at the same time. My and my wife walked out and I didnt object, usually I do but this was going too far. so thanks for this movies warning. Aug

I love 24. What a great good ol george bush just shoot and ask questions later show. On a serious note its a bit unbelievable but still great. I love how they just kill main characters all the time.

i havent watched since season 3 but I did enjoy the show a lot. Both clark and lex do a good job.

I think Crash was as good a movie since shawshank and Gump. The whole story of judgement and lifes problems rang so true that I was completely awwed. Now I still havent seen the others and I dare not judge them but I cant see the notebook not even being nominated for movie of the year (i think 2 years ago) but this love story does? The notebook was a good movie that actually inspires of what long relationships can be. But like I said I've only seen crash and not the others but I thought this movie was soooo soo powerful. aug

all i can say is if Crash loses it will be like seattle seahawks in the bowl. Crash was absolutley AWSOME.. powerful message great acting clever plot surpising I havent seen broke but people I know who have seen both have all said Crash is king... my guess is crash will get robbed if you havent seen it, see it. I'm not advocation burning Muslims at the stake or witches for that matter. How will that help people to see the Love of Christ? See we don't win the support of the Iraqi people by blowing up the radical extremists, we do it by turning the lights on and building schools or providing a sence of security when they walk down the street. Yeah there still are "hot zones" in Iraq and yeah the crazies still blow themselves up to kill a few Israelis all the time, but in general the Afghani people and the Iraqi people are not just better off by our standards, they feel safer and are thankful we removed evil folks from their leadership. You don't hear about this stuff on CNN but talk to someone who's been over there building hospitals and installing water purification systems over there. my point here was that it must be allowed for people to believe as they see fit. As for teachers you seem to want creationism taught but are you ok with the bhuddist theories of the beginnings? How bout islamic? Thats why the church needs to stay out of the public institutions. If they mandate a system of govt. then indeed the church is in charge. If the govt allows a majority vote to rule in a religious issue then once again the church is in the govt. If the govt bows to the church and begins teaching what protestans want then it will only be a matter of time before we all have to speak in tounges because our next pres is pentecostal. Or you will have to sign papers stating you believe calsinism is true because some reformed theologian is in office. Then half the nation is angry and like sunnis and tutsis they begin to hate each other. Keep the govt institutions like class rooms nuetral! another point I might add is that teachers are govt employees. Kids should be allowed to pray as they want...either to Jesus, bhuddua, muhummad, whoever... But the teacher is the one who should not lead prayers nor show favoritism to any particular students. This is where the liberals get mixed up. They want no one praying in school and thats all CRAP! Kids in school are not govt. employees. I can't help the worldwide perspective of how the U.S. is viewed except to say Americans love their country, we love freedom so much we can't tand to see the oppression of the weak by the evil and we try to lend a hand every chance we get. Look at the budget we have for foriegn aid. What does this do for us? Most countries still hate our guts but when they are in need they know we'll still be there to help. If Russia decided to invade Canada from the North who would be the first call? Ol George would be the first to be asked for help and you know what, he would help. If China invades Russia they'ld call us for help too. We got a bad rep from the U.N. for going into Iraq this time around but the U.N. is so corrupt it should be disbanded. Heck the whole charter was to unite against the Soviet nations, which is no longer a threat but members of the U.N. lol I agree. I have freinds who are iranian and they have family in iraq and they have shared with me how happy they are saddam was found. They expressed that their family in iraq was extremely happy the u.s. was there. And it is true that NO OTHER country aids like we do. True we should do more, I agree...rowanda and so on. But overall who dares point a finger at the u.s. It's a crazy world we live in today. We have a no drug policy and are helping them get needles. We have rules that say if you are homosexual you can't give blood because it's a medically unsafe lifestyle, but we have folks pushing to allow special considerations for it. It's not usually very popular to stand for what is right and people are always trying to undermine what is right for what they want or for what is more conveinient. The different churches that have allowed corruption to invade like a cancer will answer to God. I don't presume to be their judge, because it aint my job. I do say however that the Bible is clear that homosexuality is an abomination to God( that's a bad thing to be) so any "Christian" who advocates the lifestyle of a homosexual is either decieved or a deciever. I disagree here. I don't believe homosexuality is any different than hetrosexuality. People seem to think a guy who sleeps with a guy is worse than a guy who sleeps with a girl. Whats the different. I don't recall homosexuality being called a abomination. The usual response is non-manogomous. So I'm not ready to judge all homosexuals. I think unbridled control of sex (hetro, homo) is all bad before God. The big question is can 2 of the same sex be commited in a monogomous relationship. I'm not ready to subscribe to that either. I have not done a full blown study on it but from my recollection I believe homosex, is frowned on in the scripture. But my point is that I agree with Kieth Green..."Homosexuality is the same as hetro, its with the wrong person at the wrong time...only under marraige is sexuality permitted". and what about fallinf in love w/o the sex? Thats another issue they raise? im not as learned as Duma on the details of the constitution or any other law. Only as best as my memory serves. But I have to say Duma furthers my feelings on the subject. i know its been a while since the last post but i read and have to say DJ wins my vote on that last post. It is a bit odd that conservatives want the judean christian views to become law. I hear people complaing abot "no prayer in schools!!!" but don't want islamic prayers being taught to their children. At what point did Jesus use GOV. to change the world. Seems "give what belongs to ceasar" means don't worry about taxes, politics and ammendments to change the world. I agree that there are some issues (abortion) that may challenge us but to use scripture to create law is a bit overstepping the bouderies. Aug

I dont think cluless meant its 100% true or untrue but rather meant its not perfect? I'm trying to make sense of it all : ) I've been altering my beliefs in God as I find if I interpret scripture literally it ends up contradiciting. The proof that God exists is not a burden of proof. It is a belief and does not need to be proven. At least thats how I feel. If you choos not to believe in a creator then knock yourself out trying to figure out what this all is that we're living. I feel the creator belief (theory whatever you want to call it) is the best option. Aliens creating us does not explain life. Who created them? and Who created them who created tha aliens and so on. An eternal God makes more sense but leaves my at "illegal operation". If a pc (using windows xp59690) were alive to think it could never understand what it is like to be human. We cannot understand God. Simply put, whatever is out there you wont GRASP! I tend to believe we do grasp it and we (man kind) has seen it. We always say if we see God with out own eyes we will die. But I don't think like that anymore. I think love is it. I believe God is love. As for proving it... again, I don't think people need hard facts to believe in something. Heak what fun would star wars be if its all things are based on facts. I think believing in God is beneficial to the UMPH degree since the moral is to love your enemies, not BLOW EM UP! Aug

slimmage, I've got a 1920nx NEC. It's a 19 dvi monitor and I see no lines at all. I only see ghosting if I move eratically on a dark object but as long as the graphic does not move from one side to the other in .0000001 secs then it's all good. I tend to think you should go DVI with a card. I once hooked up my monitor to a analog card that was a 8 meg internal and it was a TOTAL different beast. I saw distortion (sort of like an t.v. with a antenna that gets radio waves rolling across the screen). It was def the internal video causing this cause I changed the analog to my 5900xt and it was pretty descent. So my panic attack that my monitor was taking a dump was false. I would try taking the monitor to another pc and run it in it's highest (1280x1024 prob) resolution. You'll probably find it's ok. Also on ATI... my experience in dealing with catlyst updates has always been a nightmare. I believe you DO have to pull out all the driver files and then re-install. I had a 8500le and I had to manually pull files. I've turned to the dark side and gone the way of nvidia now. I love em for seamlessness. However everyone has a different story. my guess is the monitor is ok. Auggy

However this goes back to the universalism issue and how people think. I'm reading that calvin and luther were not the nice men we ofter think of. They had people killed for denying pre-desitnation and other things. some guy named sevetus was burned due to disagreeing with calvins views and this Tolbert guy quotes out of calvins stuff. My father in law gave me the stuff on robertson and said "see, were not all that different today are we". Now I wont say we arent but I do think we've become better on handling disagreements then the old days. Gosh most of us dont say...You dont buy my universalism..then I'll just kill you and your family. But getting back to my point, tolbert states that fear is used to control the views of people. ok from nimons post Second and more importantly: I do not believe in predestination. I believe God knows what our choice would be and can act on that knowledge, even to the point of "hardening hearts"; however, just because he knows our choice ahead of time does not mean we do not have a choice. In other words, this isn't a bug in free will, it is a feature of being all knowing. Luck doesn't enter into it. I cannot agree with this. for we we were all PRE-DESTINED by his foreknowledge. not defining that is in question agreed but I must say Calvinists have strength in this arena concerning romans 9. I also agree with Calv's that if one thinks foreknowledge means God knew then indeed his mercy and compassion are dependent on whether we love him or not. Romans 9 is clear..."it therfore does NOT depend on mans efforts or his DESIRES" yet arminians conclude God knows what mans desires (love) will be so he (makes) pre-destines him to love him. This is circular and illogical. God makes someone love him because he knew that person would love him because he makes them love him. so I do believe we are pre-destined but not based on our efforts or our desires. I believe its all grace and not on my part. However if I believe in Calvinism and not universalism then I believe in a God who discriminates. God arbitrarily chose a few for eternal life and a GREAT many for eternal damnation. usually people tell me....well he's the potter and were the clay so just deal with it (as in romans 9). but what I hear them saying is...God discriminates but thats ok cause he's God. OR in the armenian theories...God does allow one man to be dealt a bad hand and one a good hand and expects them to have the same result but he's God so he can do it. It's left up to us to send ourselves to hell or save ourselves by softening our hearts. I dont believe this. I tend to think more like the calvinist who says "It's ALL God" but also like the universalist who says "all men will be saved for God WILL accomplish his will which is that he wants no one to perish". my thoughts thus lead me to "he will not accomplish this will becuase he must let us choos to serve or not serve" but thats where the question of what "choose" or "free will" means.
