thanks, I hope that it proves useful I've been working on vids since this summer, and had a couple friends doing it for over a year now as well so I have some background into it. There are also people out there with more knowledge and experience than I have so if they see an area I miss, or something I may be wrong about please correct me. But I've worked on several small vids and am currently in the process of making my first major vid, unfortunately with college life and whatnot I have been limited lately as to my free time to work on this, but hopefully I'll have it finished before too much longer.

Heh, I've done a little of that myself. Been working on one for awhile now but got a little side tracked. Basically there's only 2 programs you need to make a video. But I havent' tried doing any special effects yet, so you may need another program, however the second program I list here can do a lot of stuff including effects GeekPlay (or SK Player) VideoMach II I don't have the websites handy, but a google search will find the links for you quickly enough. Now the basic way to do this is start a demo in "Viewdemo" mode with the GeekPlayer (or SK Player) and get to a point about a second before where you want your clip to start at, a little overlap is good here. Now open the console and type "startmovie 30 <FileSequenceName>" I think that's the format you need. The 30 is the FPS of your clips, you can make this whatever you want. then close the console and hit play, it will run very slow since it basically takes a screen shot every 30th of a second and makes a stream of screenshots. Then open Video Mach and hit File->Open. Then select the first clip in the sequence and hit open. In the next dialog box hit "open sequence starting with this file" and it will open the sequence. Then add an audio file if you wish, and othe sequeneces, be careful to add your sequences in order. I recomend doing just 1 or 2 to begin with until you get your formats down and the output the way you like. Then Select the little blue floppy disk icon in the center (next to the play button) to pick your output settings For format I recomend Avi (since it lets you do DIVX ) Then Hit the video tab and in the bottom right corner select "Format Options" Chose your codec from the list that opens up (again Divx if you have it installed will be there, as well as any others you have installed, exa xvid) Also you may need to play with the bitrates of the divx configuration settins. Higher BitRates = better quality + bigger filesize. So play with it to your liking. Next chose your output resolution, this works best if you made your demo in your output resolution, but that isn't a requirement, it can reseize as needed quite nicely. I recomend around 640x480 or 800x600. Chose any audio options you like and close the box. then set any output video effects (text, color adjust, fading, etc) Hit the play button to start the processing and it should opent he file when it's done. I"m curious why that and the Rank, Top15 don't seem to be working? I guess it must've been somethign with a recent steam update that broke the mods. Gotta love Valve and how they screw all this up

Did I kill you, or was it just a hit from spraying through the DD with a colt? Also I was only in for 3 rounds, and my first 3 kills were all with the colt, all at the DD as they were coming out, but not all at once. And I did spray something like 2 clips into the DD hoping for a hit

Actually I don't recall killing anyone through the doors while I was connected, and I had a 3-1 KD before the round with the awp that I think got me kicked. I did get 2 kills through the box on the T bridge room when I tried to catch 2 guys running accross the bridge opening though. Also my last kill that round I did fire a random shot into the wall by the CT bombsite DD room, but that was a random shot that I don't even know if it would go through the wall. And the kill I did get I just had my pistol out and got lucky that the guy was a low health when I hit him coming through teh doors

Hi, Today I was banned from your tropolis server at about 4:30 central. I'm not really sure why I was banned but I'm assuming because it appeared that I was hacking. I had an 8 and 1 record after 3 rounds, a very good start for me, probably my best on the server, but it was due to my getting several lucky shots with the awp. At the spawn of the next round I was kick/banned. I was playing as: Ice_Berge my steam ID is:STEAM_0:1:341578 I know gunman was on the server as well as a couple other Mmmm clanmembers that I cannot remember at this time. I'm sorry if it seemed that I was hacking, but no one even said anything to me or in the chat that I saw suggesting they felt I hacked, and I was only in the server for a couple rounds before it happened. I've played on your server for sevearl month's now and really enjoy playing there. I would appreciate a chance to prove that I do not hack and to return to your server.
