Arrows rained down at the approaching knights peppering the ground before them. The quickly retreated back towards safety. The knight surveyed his position finding his oldest friend, a ranger named Randolph with a grin and a ready bandage.

As he rolls to his back breathing heavily he sees that he's not out of danger. Spilling from the castle comes a score of soldiers all headed in his direction.

As the knight turns toward the creature, he remembers his recurring childhood nightmare, because he sees it there, in the flesh.
