  1. http://www.beyondunreal.com/content/articles/140_1.php FragBU Bonus Pack Released on January 28, 2006, the FragBU Bonus Pack for Unreal Tournament 2004 consists of the work of some of the most talented BeyondUnreal forumers and FragBU regulars. One of the primary goals of the pack was to make maps that, above all, have good gameplay. As you'll see from the screenshots, however, the maps are fairly visually pleasing as well. The maps are: * CTF-FBU-1on1-Xerosis - Raffi_B * CTF-FBU-Barcelona - Gred Mega and Raffi_B * CTF-FBU-Iron2 - Raffi_B * CTF-FBU-Veiled - Radeon285 * ONS-FBU-Desertion - Styx * ONS-FBU-Highlands - Styx, Reeps, and Raffi_B * ONS-FBU-Scorched - Styx, Reeps, and Raffi_B * ONS-FBU-Stonehaven - King Mango * VCTF-FBU-AkhaRu - King Mango DL and give a shake lads, looks like there is some ONS meat that can be given over to Nepenthe -Fk
  2. Considering - need to give it another kick though Anyone else want to chime in? -Fk
  3. I'd pay good money to see Primus spin German Techno and TechTrance - bet Wentz would pay more... -Fk
  4. I think you mean very large map I DL'd this two days ago - still toying with throwing it up. Nice touch in that when you call an air strike, air raid sirens go off for the duration. -Fk
  5. Hi! Yep - bit of chop the last month or so - manifesting in not too pleasant lag on Tuesday evening. Worked through this with Tom at Vipers a few hours ago. Not CPU lag - we are barely impacting the CPU Not Bandwidth outbound from the box - again, not even beginning to impact things there However, Tom was seeing not too pleasant packet loss at the Data Center (Equinix in Chicago) and that is prob where we have been getting the chop from - and this has prob been building for the last month or so. So... Our eyes are on it - lets see how soon this clears up EDIT: Prob a combination of Equinix and Sevis lines - being tracked, hang on, this may take a day or two.... -Fk
  6. Looks like a router went down - not Tier One otherwise things would be *really* bad. As it is, with the re-routing to compensate, pings are in the low 100s now - much better than 300 plus but still not where they need to be. Hopefully this will get resolved sooner rather than later... -Fk
  7. Looking at 250 to 300 plus pings on the router leading to our physical cpu - looks to be a Chicago Tier 1 or 2 provider problem Hopefully cleared up soon... -Fk

  10. I think I agree with Brillow, however, let's keep an eye on this. If there are people really doing nothing but blowing empty vehicles up, then we can roll back the damage point bonus. -Fk
  11. 1) ONSPLus 1.0 See previous forum posts on what this all does (or link below). - Bonus point (single) for every 200 points of healing one does - Bonus point (single) for every 400 in damage done to a vehicle - Linked builders of nodes will *share* points for building/healing If you have a prefered side checked in your settings (red/blue) this is now ignored for balance purposes. More info: http://homepage.eircom.net/~JBarrett847/ONSPlus.html You can change key-binds for some of the new options I haven't mentioned (see link above) by hitting esc in-game to bring up the main in-game menu, then hit the game tab. The ONSPlus button is in the lower right. 2) ServerEXT 1.09 We run this already for the chatfilter - this version is cleaned up some performance-wise and adds some things for the admin backend Players will not notice anything out of the ordinary. 3) ChatFilter tweaks The filter has been tweaked - hit it five times and you are muted for the remainder of the map. This *does* work now by the way... There is likely 50% less-bacon as well as many of the filtered words are now replaced with condition-specific responses (not that those will make any more sense...) 4) AntiTCC 1.19 beta 26 *NOT YET* We will be throwing AntiTCC up for a wee bit once it gets a bit more stable. We try to run lean on this server to keep performance up, and with good players, one really doesn't need to worry bout botters too much. Which leads to... 5) A reminder that... ...we do have many top-tier ONS players who alias here (play under an assumed name) who are ridiculously good. Moonshine comes to mind - though you will never see this person play under that name here. A kills-to-death score of 150 to 20 is not uncommon for this individual. Doesn't mean he/she is botting. Maps: New map Araja is onboard - nothing special - just a big open, Valarna-like map. We'll see how it swings performance-wise. Urban-LE is in the mix for a change up. And it has been awhile since we had Spiffengrad on here - the author revised this map back in October with a new node config, ECE vehicles and other additions. Let's give this a try as well. Red Planet *out* for the time being. -Fk

  13. 925pm eastern there are 8 KU in Nepenthe - I think you guys have a scrim... -FK
  14. Gunner is getting better but still lots of bacon - on voice I think he sounds like good peeps, just needs to clue up on talking/language - cut him some (not much) slack For lots of folks, our server standards are a rather new thing to get used to... -Fk
  15. Naturally - pm or im me for the download link, unless you have no prob making it publically avail - in which case I'll just post up in the forums -Fk
  16. Mutator that has been out for a bit now - now at 1.0 and 3369 compatibile (and required on the server actually) Whitelisted so server will still be standard. Improvement / Fix: Drop Checks: If an exit point of your vehicle is at a long drop you will not get out of that exit point unless all points are at a drop. Dodge Style Exit Selection: You can now choose which side of your vehicle you want to get out from - Added configurable options for how this should function. (Client side and server side) Enhanced Radar Map: It now shows all vehicles that have re-spawned at your teams nodes. And you can select specific vehicles so you spawn closer to them Shared Node Scoring: When linking with teammates, the score is shared evenly. This includes destroying nodes as well as building them. (and optionally, vehicles too) Score Bonus: Score for repairing occupied vehicles and turrets (configurable bonus). Score Bonus: Score for damaging occupied vehicles and turrets (configurable bonus). Lift Beacons: Added command to call vehicles for a lift, when activated a 'Thumbs Up' beacon will appear over your head to all drivers on your team (and on all drivers HUD map). The stuck 'Missile Lock' warning has been fixed. Scorpian turret sometimes getting stuck as charged even when vehicle is empty has been fixed. Fixed not being able to enter vehicles while ducking. Fixed Raptors spinning around when you look up/down too far. You can turn off peoples ability to select a preferred team (helps prevent balance problems). Will let the poll run for a few days (or less if trend in answers is apparent). -Fk
  17. He backed off after I let him know - if he pushes the limtis again - yoink! -Fk
  18. Bushwack would have no problem with this at all, just as the rest of the folks would love this as well. Myself, I'm semi-retired (work keeps me tied up most week evening leaving zip for TWL matches) Primus is holding the TWL fort down at the moment - he'll be along shortly to accost you with multitudes of smiley icons and the like (as is his nature ) We get the soft drink back though - only fair... Welcome to the forums -Fk
  19. My God - asked Fatty to throw this up here and within 15 minutes already a first post - lol Soon, as in, when it's ready. Best guesses right now, optimistically late first quarter 2006, more likely 2nd to 3rd quarter. If I were a betting man, I'd say May. Total conjecture on my part Gonna fold in the various UT2007 posts and other stuff (pics, vids) here as I get the time -Fk
  20. Even more clarification here: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6141746.html -Fk
  21. "PC first. We're not scheduled to be a ps3 launch title, not certain where those news sites are getting that from. There will be a pre-release demo (on the PC at least)." As quoted from an Epic producer on the Atari forums Now as to the question of when.... ??????? -Fk
  22. Will do next time in server - have not been tracking GUIDs so... Thanks for the link to the UTstats though- if he changes names will be much easier to nab him now -Fk
