We'll get one or the other or both tomorrow. A thread on the epic forums was started at 730pm Tuesday evening speculating on a vague comment made by Mark Rein (Epic dude) a week or so ago. Mark chimed in at 10pm Tuesday evening with: For the love all that is unholy, our long national nightmare may soon be over That and Gears of War is PC bound - M$ announced that this evening. Supposedly this holiday season. Here's hoping Epic won't let that stop them from dropping UT this fall -Fk

IGN updated their game page with this new box to represent the game. Best size avail atm. OXM video (see last topic) still hasn't made its way to teh interwebs - perhaps in a day or two the same will be released at E3... -Fk

OXM mag (August) has a disc with goodies on it - low res versions of three pics now out and there is video on the disc as well which will eventually find its way to youtube... -Fk

1) You may have noticed the topic description for this forum has changed and now reads October 2007 or later. Mark Rein a month (?) ago stated quite succinctly that UT3 will *not* be ready for September 2007. This in response to the various (as always) spurious release dates posted at Walmart, Gamestop, etc. I think there is still a pretty solid bet this will finally drop by the end of the year, just a question of how they want to time it. 2) @ E3, which is next week or so, Epic/Midway will be doing substantial demo/promo for the game - look for a bunch of stuff to come out then. 3) Next magazine preview is in EGM, September issue?, that hits the newsstands on August 7th - Xbox/PS3 versions. Otherwise, been pretty quiet lately... -Fk

1) Name changed from UT2K7 to UT3. Consider UT2K4 to be UT 2.5 and it makes sense - also now matches UT engine rev. (UE3) Can also think of it as: UT = 1 UT2003/2004 = 2 UT3 = 3 2) PC, PS3 were known. Now announced for Xbox360 as well. No idea about cross platform play (pc users playing with xbox/ps3 users, etc.) 3) New Images. See links below - there are others but hard to get now. 4) New Trailer. Expounds on the single player and UT universe backstory for this game. Essentially, "In a world where Liandri Mining company made a tournament that was very popular, the Necris built an army and came to kick everyones ischial callosities. Now you want revenge. Hooray." Naturally there are pretty moving pictures. Trailer = 1 minute long. Some were really hoping for an announcement of the demo seeing as it would match with UT2K4 demo announcement (which was Early Feb 2004) but seems not to be. The event is *not* over with yet, there may be more info and announcements but this is what is swinging as of 5pm Monday. No time for images - others feel free to mirror or post. Technically there is supposed to be an embargo until tomorrow on some of this stuff but it is out there now. Yes - IGN says that it is now reported as Second Half, 2007. Hope not, or at least hope we get the demo long b4 then. Help me out here, I have been working a lot and paying no attention to the gaming scene... but I'm planning to build a PC and play 2k7 when it comes out. When can I expect this, and who wants to die first?

Instead of working on finishing a project that is due in 4 hours I decided to look up Gears of War on IGN.com. Game came out earlier but I kept forgetting to look up gameplay vids. IGN has some HD gameplay vids. IGN Insider came with my comcast upgrade (atleast comcast upgrade was good for something). I felt like sharing these with you guys. Hopefully this will boost your hopes for UT2K7! About the vids, WOW! So set to 1280x720 and enjoy. EDIT: VIDS REMOVED Also check out the Console Forum and see what GC 360 owners are saying. I'll keep the vids up for atleast the weekend.
