Watchtower July 8, 2004 Share Watchtower Member July 8, 2004 Here we go again Decided to shake it up a bit. Give examples of when and where morals are used and accepted in Law outside of personal freedoms ie; Do onto others etc.. Like lying under oath.. I find it a totally acceptable law which without enforcement can basically infringe upon my personal rights if lied against.. But not lying in general.. So that is a good and universally accepted one. heres a bad one.. A dispatcher in one of the Carolinas was asked to their move out of her house or get married when it was found that she was cohabitating with her male partner. It's against a state law and she basically said she quit. Our "morals" at work.. http://www.wwaytv3.com/Global/story.asp?S=1979628 Addresses the dispatcher and another similar case of "cohabitation" http://www.wilmingtonstar.com/apps/pbcs.dl...ORIAL/407020302 Lol, "Sorry Andy, Mayberrys changed"
Playaa July 8, 2004 Share Playaa Member July 8, 2004 what about instances where Law infringes upon Morals? like someone who is against Abortion. Law says their wrong and since to them it's a moral issue Law says their morals are wrong.
Watchtower July 9, 2004 Author Share Watchtower Member July 9, 2004 It's not infringing upon their personal rights to Not have an abortion. Morals or not. You can still hold your morals true if you wish. Noone will ever make you have an abortion. A more appropriate analogy would be if Trouble and I wanted to move to NC but we aren't married. And they wouldn't allow us to live together unless we were married.. Bascially.
