Trying overclocking

doesn't exist. you gotta do it own your own.

Actually there is one.

But it's only for Nforce 3 Ultra Motherboard owners(it's in beta right now) and it's the coolest thing I've seen for overclockers in awhile.

You tell it you want to overclock and about 1 hour later it comes back with the fastest memory timings, FSB speeds, and Multipliers possible(The demo system include a FX53 AMD processor that has unlocked multipliers).

Worked like a charm when I saw it.

Nvidia had it for a presentation @ MML 3 in Louisville this summa.

If you are using a Nvidia card in the Nforce 3 Ultra mobo the program will recognize that fact and adjust some driver and registry settings to make her run a lil' faster.

I see this kinda of program becoming commonplace in the future. That is if Nvidia has it their way. From what the Nvidia guy said, motherboard makers weren't interested in tools like this. Mostly because their buying audience hasn't requested it.

Well I figured it out, I'm @ 3.52ghz from 3.2ghz stock, not bad, and 29 degrees stable CPU, yay.

I think my mobo is meant to be oc'd with all the options it has - P4C800-E Deluxe

It also says this in the overview:

AI Overclocking

overclocking up to 30% (I set mine to 10%) (depends on CPU and RAM). It automatically detects and optimizes every relevant parameter to provide both performance and stability.

The BIOS in AI Series also keeps all the special design for overclocking:

-- Flexible CPU Core Voltage Adjustments in 0.025V increments over defaults

-- SFS (Stepless Frequency Selection) up to 400MHz at 1MHz increanerts

-- Adjustable FSB/DDR ratio. Fixed AGP/PCI frequencies

-- ASUS C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall)

What is that you are OC? The CPU?

negative. If it's stable and plays games then leave it there ;)

No harm can be done. If it starts crashing then put it back. :D really your not going to do any damage unless you mess with voltages, thats when overclocking becomes dangerous.

ps. your temps are good, 300mhz for free, enjoy it :)
