Fatty October 8, 2004 Share Fatty GC Founder October 8, 2004 Went from 100 pinned to, well, I almost don't wanna say, but I'm seeing less than 50...40's consistantly. Anything I should adjust first?
linch October 8, 2004 Share linch Member October 8, 2004 I'm in the same boat. I dumbed down all the graphic settings, but I still ping 15-20ms higher, and my fps is around 60. If I bump down the cl_updaterate my ping drops a little, but the choke rises. Running.. Amd 1800 512 ram ti4600 (latest drivers) DirectX 9.0b If anyone had problems and resolved them... please post up what you did you change your performance. Guest zerodamage October 8, 2004 Share Guest zerodamage Guests October 8, 2004 try your cl_rate which is default 10000. Maybe go up or down and see what it does. Also make sure you cap your FPS at like 85 or something. My fps_max was at 300 when I first loaded it up. cl_ragdoll_collide 1 is a command you want. (Allows bodies to stack on one another) try also cl_updaterate Those are all I can think of off hand. oh yeah... cl_showfps
Batman October 8, 2004 Share Batman Member October 8, 2004 Is it your refresh rate messin with it? Try forcing the refresh rate..
Birdman October 8, 2004 Share Birdman Member October 8, 2004 I get around 20 fps if an explosion goes off around a reflective surface. You could try turning off reflective surfaces I guess. But anything over 30 fps is money. try 800x600 if 1024 is a lil choppy.
