Fatty February 11, 2005 Share Fatty GC Founder February 11, 2005 I need someone to organize and see through the CSS tournament. Someone that has either researched or experienced tournaments before would be preferred. This person will: -Set up the format and all protocal for one cash CSS tourney -Pre-register teams -Help me decide on an entry fee for the tourney -Decide what the payouts should be -Post rules, etc, for the tournament by the end of March -Work with Fish, who will be creating the tournament board -Run the event at FFO 05 -Present the prize(s) to the winning team *job description subject to change slightly if I've left anything important out! If you are interested in this position, please PM me. Note: Like the rest of the staffed positions at FragFestOhio, this is a volunteered job. Now, for the rest of this thread, I'd like to hear from anyone at all that has had a good experience at a gaming tournament, be it CPL or whatever....tips on how it's run, the format, entry costs, etc. In the past, we've tossed together some half-hearted tourneys, and because they're basically for fun, they end up being addressed as a non-priority. I'd like this to be a featured event at this years FFO. Tell us about seating arrangements, computer checks, play format, how maps are chosen, etc. Anything and everything in regards to a CS tourney is welcome. Thanks! [LaW]Maverick February 16, 2005 Share [LaW]Maverick Member February 16, 2005 Hey man, I'm interested, and know pretty much what is entailed, but I have no first hand experience. So if you need the help and fill me on some more details and wouldn't mind doing a little teaching. Let me know. Hey, at least there's someone to help out if you can't find anybody else! :-)
