TheBugs November 26, 2005 Share TheBugs Member November 26, 2005 (edited) Came home from college tuesday night and have been hunting steadily the whole week with my dad. He got a big doe earlier in the season with his bow. He actually missed one this morning with his rifle...(not sure how that happend) We went out for the last 2 hours of the day and this small buck came about 80 yds from me. Clean shot, didnt go more than 30 yards from where it was shot. Cant wait to the the jerky going hmm kinda small pic. Try This Going out tommorow for the last day, wish me luck. TheBugs November 27, 2005 Author Share TheBugs Member November 27, 2005 yup, first deer. Kinda sad ive been hunting for 2 years bow and rifle. Theres tons of deer in CT.Tthey are just all on private property and usually to small of an area to use a gun.
Bush November 27, 2005 Share Bush Member November 27, 2005 Congrats!! It took me a few years before I got my first one also. So did you get him with a bow or a rifle?
Chief January 20, 2006 Share Chief Member January 20, 2006 At 80 yds, I bet that he didn't even use his dad's scoped .44. My money's on the rifle, but I can't remember what you said you had. 30-06? Still got any jerkey?
TheBugs January 20, 2006 Author Share TheBugs Member January 20, 2006 Actually used a 7mm scoped. Sorry Chief... CT is stupid and you cant hunt with pistols...yet. And its not a .44 its a .480! even bigger Between me and my dad we took three deer so the freezers are nice and full and theres plenty of jerky. Actually have some up here at school but its running out... fast.
