[LaW]Maverick March 2, 2007 Share [LaW]Maverick Member March 2, 2007 So Lord of the Rings Online looks very very cool to me because I'm a huge Lord of the Rings geek. So I went to pre-order it because I found out that, if I do, I get access to open beta AND instead of $14.99 a month, it's $9.99 a month or I can opt to pay $199 and never pay another fee again for the game. On top of that, I get 2 unique items that aren't complete crap like most MMO's give away when you pre-order or get some promo. All-in-all, not too shabby. I don't know if any of you were thinking 'bout checking this game out, but I figure it's worth it for the pre-order benefits. You pay $5 at Gamestop, get to try it out, if you don't like it you put your $5 on something else and there's no loss. On the other hand, if you do like it, you save money on the monthly fee, and you get to start early. You get to keep your beta character after launch. I really like the way this MMO is going about things.
