It's the same for why I like Windows and why I like my Linux distribution. I can however state some things about Mac OS X that I like more so than the other distributions. #1. No matter how dumb you are, you can use it to do the basic stuff. #2. Applications and their related files are not randomly inserted into the OS's files like on Windows. There are no DLL files dropped into the Mac OS's root directory resulting in Applications breaking when I back them up and put them back later. #3. Time Machine #4. I've become a fan of the dock #5. It requires very little maintenance. I do not need to spend a ton of time setting up antispyware apps to scan at random times, CCleaner to automatically clean at random times, defraggers to run at certain times, disabling of a dozen services that are hogging down the system, etc. #6.
