NOFX November 25, 2008 Share NOFX Member November 25, 2008 I'm on the search for an embedded OS. My hardware is a very small 350Mhz geode board with 512meg ram and a 2 gig flash card. No Windows. Preferably real time. Anyone have any suggestions?

NOFX November 25, 2008 Author Share NOFX Member November 25, 2008 thanks, I started looking around and attempted to download it, but put in the wrong email. I'll be taking a look at it tomorrow. Is this open source or free?

Is this open source or free? I've tried their operating system on a floppy years ago, kinda cool could get on the net and such with it. I dunno about their current tech but seems like you just have to register to download the software and packages. I think the support part is what you pay for if you want it, thinking some companies are using this for kiosks and such. I may try to download later and put on an old comp. NOFX November 26, 2008 Author Share NOFX Member November 26, 2008 yea, you don't need much power to run kiosk systems and such.. I'm finishing up a project and I'm being moved to R&D. We are looking into small hardware that can run linux. Which I've already found, but would still like to try different distros for embedded systems if they arise. Now my next challenge is to find a real time operating system. My supervisor is all about open-source and no windows
