ValenAlvern February 25, 2010 Share ValenAlvern Member February 25, 2010 (edited) You know, school uses a T1, service, and it blocks ports to prevent people from doing things, like playing online games. NOT STEAM! I love downloading games from Steam and seeing 1.5MB/s, and seeing the 5GB game at 10% with only being 8-18 minutes in. I also like that they block sites that are making fun of people (Lamebook.com) being tasteless, yet failblog.org you're able to go to. Anyone else experience weird IP blocking from other places? (school, public places, etc) Edited February 25, 2010 by ValenAlvern
dragonfly February 25, 2010 Share dragonfly Member February 25, 2010 Yeah, the public school system I teach for - blocks images (for the most part)... but oh wait! You can get into a teen chat room. Obviously that's gonna be safe!

samurai nightling March 1, 2010 Share samurai nightling Member March 1, 2010 My work blocks most sites that have anything to do with movies, music, gaming, and basically fun and entertainment in general. But they do NOT block online radio stations, so we blare them in the lab all the time because we get no radio signal down there.
