It won't have to be too powerful - mostly web browsing, office suite, and some civilization (whatever that is).. I'm working on my brother in law to get in to some fps, so I'd like it to have the capability to run some fps w/ decent graphics at 1900 x 1080. What I have: 550 w psu hd 8800 gtx xtreme fidelity sound card what i need: mobo cpu ram LCD (23-24 inch) mostly looking for help on the mobo/cpu - thanks! What I ended up doing is sticking with the socket 775 mobo : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130252 and then got the QX9650 quad core extreme and clocked it up to 4ghz : http://www.starmicroinc.com/cgi/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=QX9650 Cost/performance was a no brainer to me.
