Competitive Matchmaking Skill Groups Skill Group Ranking Method It's understood that this is similar to other ranking systems as in Dota whereby your rank increases or decreases every X rounds depending on your performance versus players of higher or lower rank. For instance, if you beat a team of players who are two ranks ahead of you this benefits you much more than winning against players of your same rank. Similarly, your rank can go down by much more when you lose against players with much lower rank than yourself.
