Lookback November 6, 2013 Share Lookback Member November 6, 2013 Hmmmmm.... The Clash with Black Uhuru opening in the early 80's OR U2 in a bar with a small selection of other people in the 80's OR Jeff Healy and Stevie Ray Vaughan in a really small bar in the 90's OR The Cardigans in a really small bar in the 90's OR RHCP in an unfortunately large arena in the 00's I need to go to a show... I don't think I noticed the date FK, wow I am jealous of you getting to see that. That would have been a great show to remember and a horrible show to remember... I just wish I could have seen Stevie somewhere along the way. I often get looked at like I'm crazy when I tell people that I think Stevie > Jimi, perhaps it's because a lot of generations are clueless to Stevie. I get that same look when I tell people I think Pearl Jam > Nirvana. Perhaps I am the weirdo.
Lookback November 8, 2013 Share Lookback Member November 8, 2013 (edited) Wish I could have seen Stevie.... I am jealous of you LB. On a side note U2 sucks. Stevie used to live here, Mad - I think he was rehabbing. I have seen him and Jeff Healey play literally 30 times. I even saw them do a concert with Jeff Beck once, and Jeff and Stevie did 'Down Down Down' together as the encore, unbelievable. Pearl Jam is definitely > Nirvana, but there might not have been a Pearly Jam without a Nirvana. I'll never forget the first time I heard Teen Spirit, after music had been so bland for so long, it was AMAZING! Now I gotta go see what Flitter did... Edit\ crap, I might be older than you FK Edited November 8, 2013 by Lookback
