Slaphappy September 20, 2003 Share Slaphappy Member September 20, 2003 right so steam installed and all that good stuff, and I want to go and fix my binds and add new ones etc. Well here be the problem. I can't find my config file...heck I can't find HL at all. Steam moved eveything and i can't find it. I mean is there anyway to even play cs with out going through steam. What if i'm not hooked up to the internet can I even open CS??? I can't figgure out how to even open cs without going through steam...let alone find where my friggen progam is on my comptuter..AHHHHHHH Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dwEEziL September 20, 2003 Share dwEEziL Member September 20, 2003 CS (as well as HL and any other HL mod) is located in your steam install directorecy under /SteamApps/%e-mail%/. The config is still in the same place relative to that path. This is also where you want to put your autoexec.cfg and any other custom .cfg files. If your autoexec.cfg file is not executed when you join, you just have to do an "exec autoexec.cfg" in the console once and the next time you start CS it should execute it automatically.
