Sir Shertown Pimp March 14, 2004 Share Sir Shertown Pimp Member March 14, 2004 I have pencil thin arms, which is odd because I am a pretty big guy, any recommendations for getting them bigger ? I do push up and considering getting some d bells. Also I have one piece of advice for anyone trying to lose wait: Stop eating sugary sweets and eat fruit, you'll be surprised. dwEEziL March 14, 2004 Share dwEEziL Member March 14, 2004 Get yourself a curl bar and just do reps. I read an article where a body builder said he could get his biceps as big as he wanted if he just upped the reps but then they would be out of symmetry with the rest of his body. CowboyFromHell`X March 15, 2004 Share CowboyFromHell`X Member March 15, 2004 (edited) My arms are going okay right now and I curl around 40-60 lbs. It isn't that great but I'll keep adding weight each month. Do different types of curls like reverse, sitting, standing, etc... Like a 15 lbs dumbbell would work well also. I'm pretty weak so you might want to use a 20-25 lbs dumbbell. If you're just starting though go with the smaller weights. This worked for me, so I'm not going to say it's going to work for you. You could try it though. Edited March 15, 2004 by CowboyFromHell
Sir Shertown Pimp March 15, 2004 Author Share Sir Shertown Pimp Member March 15, 2004 yeah I found some 25s at target and I could curl them just fine so I'll probably go buy them soon.
Dennis March 15, 2004 Share Dennis Member March 15, 2004 best way to work your arms that i have found is by getting a curling bar and doing what i cal 21's they are called other things and you can do dif reps with them. what u do is..... 7reps > arms straight down and curl up halfway 7reps > arms halfway up and curl all the way up 7reps > just do a full curl doing those with dif weights and dif reps really helped my arms.
