[Mmmm]Homer March 19, 2004 Share [Mmmm]Homer Member March 19, 2004 New model numbers. In case you haven't heard, Intel is changing to an AMD style rating system. Well, maybe not AMD, more like a BMW.
All Kill3r March 19, 2004 Share All Kill3r Member March 19, 2004 does this mean Intel is no longer after just higher clock speeds but will now improve architecture also ?

[Mmmm]Homer March 19, 2004 Author Share [Mmmm]Homer Member March 19, 2004 Nice find Killer. I think they now have come to terms that Moore's Law is running out, and that they need to add features and other innovations. The mhz/ghz number can't keep upping at the rate it has. Probably can't sell a 4.02ghz chip for alot more than a 4.0ghz chip.

Birdman March 21, 2004 Share Birdman Member March 21, 2004 So is the 423 slower than the 420? Cause that thing doesnt even have a molex connector.
All Kill3r March 21, 2004 Share All Kill3r Member March 21, 2004 oh yea..... theres 2 molex's on the back... hopefully by release it will have 1. i would assume it will only have 1..i hope...

So im guessing the 423 is the top performer then? cause i thought 420 was the code for it. Edited March 21, 2004 by Birdman

Birdman March 21, 2004 Share Birdman Member March 21, 2004 I hope that ATI doesnt use the Radeon name anymore. But that picture seems to indicate otherwise.
[Mmmm]Homer March 21, 2004 Author Share [Mmmm]Homer Member March 21, 2004 Radeon 10,000?
Birdman March 21, 2004 Share Birdman Member March 21, 2004 Exactly. That's just dumb. I don't want a radeon 2 either. Geforce is a lot longer in the tooth, but ati doesnt have to go down that path.
