new stat pages
Shropshire Slasher replied to Vovik's topic in Midwest FF CS:S - Scopeless - PROJECT MAYHEM - Chicago
It appears that possibly maybe that there is a chance that stats didn't update last night (possibly as a result maybe of the update?). -

being redirected from Scopeless

Thnx... I'll let you know if I have any future problems... CEM -
I'm trying to connect to scopeless and am being redirected to West. Is this the intended outcome or is it just a lag in the activation of my membership? Or something else altogether? Thanks, Slash

Today on scopeless someone came in with the name Terry Sheivo. I'm not personally offended by the name, but I felt it was borderline bad taste. I asked the person if they would change it, which they did without complaint. Actually, they were totally cool about it. Do the Board/Admin members of GC have a take on this? Or is it simply a judgement call? Respectfully, Shropshire Slasher

An actual suggestion

In the case I mentioned above, the person actually said "Sorry" into the mic. But that was just covering his arse. Especially when he went on to committ further atrocities. But, the point we all seem to be making is common: Tk's are situational. The inciident itself as well as the pattern of behavior by the individual determines what response is appropriate. -

OK... so I just slayed a tk'er for the first time... Dudes name was Mantooth... can't say i've seen him around before. He was autoslayed at spawn, then spent the next round or two (this is on Italy, around lunch time) cursing into the mic and chat. You guys are such and such... We go into the apartments and he is following me. we're in a hallway and he just unloads on me in a way that to me seemed premeditated. (there was no fire, no t's present). So... I chose slay. No discussion between us. A round or two later he and I and another go into apartments... He and the other take out two t's in front of me, I'm in the back, He then turns 90 degrees and just unloads on the other CT with a P90, i believe. At that point he was kicked and banned, presumably by auto. Sigh... Guess there are times where Slay/Slap are appropriate. -

BTW... the auto kill on spawn attacking is a good feature, though i've seen a couple of "accidentals". For instance, a moment ago on office someone threw a nade at the window just outside the garage and missed. It went off and bumped a couple of ct's and the "spawn attacker" was autoslayed. Clearly just a poorly aimed nade... but it occured within whatever timelimit... Nevertheless, it is a good feature. Can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. -

I always forgive. Though, to be fair, I've never suspected being TK'd purposely. When I have been tempted to slap, it seems counterproductive, since it puts the team at a disadvanted. Hence, I never slap. How about 30 seconds of unlimited 0 damage slap. Just keep hitting the left mouse and watch the tk'er fly! -
ahem

Ah well, i've dropped to 22. C'est la vie or something like that. -
And notice a new face... Actually, I'm not stat whoring... I was waiting around on the server for a game to start, and i was planting the bomb over and over again. Turns out that "scoring doesn't start until..." means that kills arent recorded. Turns out, however, that bombs planted and detonating are. Is this a bug in the stats proggie? P.S. Don't worry, another mapnight and I'll be back on the second page where I belong

Had a knock on my office door and had to F10 real quick... sorry to run out so suddenly. Good to see some A.M. CS:S'ers... later, SS

This is kinda what I was putting together from hanging around here. One question I have is are all Mmmmm and all CSLS in .gc, or are they independently owned and operating entities? CEM p.s. google turned up references to a CSLS "lunatic soldiers"... but the web links seem outdated. Is this the same CSLS?

Just wanna say I dig the sat night mapnight. Just spent the last 2 hours gettin pwned oldschool. Even got served verbally by the fat-man himself. Nevertheless, i dig the chaos that is mapnight. Seems that everyone is in a good mood when no one knows the maps a priori. Plus, this being the best server going makes for some fun fraging (or first rate bullet catching, in my case.) Keep up the good work .gc. SS. P.S. some one esplain Mmmmmmm and CSLS and .gc and all that alphabet soup to me. It's more confusing than particle physics
