If you know how to aim one shot is always sufficient. even CPL players shoot in 2-3 shot bursts... there is the "random" element of the game that has very little to do with "aim"

I didn't read anything esle in this thread beyond the first few lines of the original post... so you'll have to excuse me if this has already been addressed. Zhou, if you think that militia "induces camping" on the Scopeless server, you should try playing this map on a server that has scopes. Better (or worse) yet, play cs_militia on 1.6 (or before) on a server with scopes. This map is BY FAR the worse map for camping with awps. That said... gc is a scopeless server... and the redesign of militia has made it so that the CTs actually have an equal or better chance of winning than the Ts do. If you don't believe me... spend some time on the 1.6 version of the map. The CTs NEVER win... never = about 3% of the time. The only disadvantage the CTs have is that the AI for the hosties is so horrible that it takes 1/3 of the round just to run back after you get all of them. There are only a few "new" camping spots for this map (rafters, back of the shed, under the stairs outside, and 2 spots near the silos.) On the old version... it was all roofs, and all awps and it sucked (for CTs) Source version is MILES ahead, and MILES more fair than before. All I can say is spend some time with the old version and you'll appreciate this one a lot more.

I always autojoin. Some days, I tend to auto towards T more, others it's CT. I don't ever really seem to get a good mix of joins. AK = 2 round bursts... 1st shot is always spot on target, 2nd is off a bit, but if you know how to aim, it should be sufficient for the kill... M4 = 3 round bursts... weaker than AK, shots are much more random. I don't believe I've ever had to hit someone 5+ times to get the kill with the AK, whereas this happens nightly with the M4 (scoped or otherwise)

nuke and militia take forever because of the HDR.... what is really dumb is that even with HDR turned off, it STILL takes forever. this can be solved by replacing both maps with cs_havana and de_chateau in the rotation.

I broke my Plantronics DSP-500 Headset 2 weeks ago... it's not duct-taped. I pretty much get mad at this game daily. I HATE dying... I HATE losing... There are only a few players that really get under my skin when they kill me but i'm not naming names as to prevent the in-game chastisement.

Thanks for putting this server up man. I've played here since the beginning of CS source and haven't left. Don't know what I'd do otherwise (probably cure cancer or AIDS... but those can wait) Either way, scopeless servers are the future (snipers are for matches, not pub play). Thanks for your time/patience/dedication and for giving us a great server with great competition and great environment.

Uh.. .yeah... been playing here how long and I just got banned... Map: de_nuke my score 10-1...map score Ts 2 ... CTs 0 I changed my name today from R!c0[clanless] to R!c0.exe check it here, at the stats page... http://69.221.180.211/hlstats/hlstats.php?...nfo&player=4238 so I don't really know what's going on... but i'd like to get unbanned... .exe is no different than putting.. .doc .gov .com .gov i guess he thought it was a hack... terrible hacks if the map before (cs_militia) I was on CT and my score was 19-13... thanks.. oh, this is the 2nd time pope has done something to me since he got full admin. I don't know the deal with his animosity towards me, but if the other .gc dudes can address it, i'd appreciate it.

mine are gone... i have to copy the ip address then paste it in "add server" when in game... Valve is silly and they STILL haven't fixed it.

FTR, I switched teams TWICE last night on cs_militia. I'll switch when I'm compelled to do so.. which is less often than usual.

If this wasnt about a stack then what was it? Did you see 1 person do better than you and not switch teams and decide to call him out in the forums? This post wasn't about a stack... it's plainly clear this wasn't a stack. I've played enough on the server to know which players are good, decent and so forth... this is about the willingness to swap sides so that maps aren't blowouts. M2... I too have been on teams where I have rallied the troops. specifically, I remember we were playing inferno, the CTs were winning 8-0.. I was 17-2 (suicide)... and I switched teams... The Ts won the map 9-8... That said... I have absolutely no problem with letting the other team suffer. I auto join every map anyway... EVEN ON AZTEC WHICH THE Ts WON LAST NIGHT... BIG TIME... But, I suppose I got the answer I needed, so thanks for the reply.

I'm sure the pic will speak for itself... there were multiple times during the map in which he could've changed teams to help out. I've been known to change teams MULTIPLE times during a map... (swapped twice earlier tonight on de_piranesi)... but I'm not going to be switching to help out, if the members aren't even going to stick to the preference. See y'all in game.

Ok I did M2 Rico M2 KPD: 3.44 Rico KPD: 2.17 The more time you have in the server the more actions/points you will receive <{POST_SNAPBACK}> um... yeah... so why didn't you address the points? You pointed out KPD... you could have a 30-3 map and have a 10:1 KPD ratio... that really doesn't mean much... since you only played ONE map. (and trust, I know you're a great player, I've seen you play, and I hate when you play on #2) So, points: M2 1.427 Rico 2,092 And that was after a crappy night. full with 2 TKs which cost you 50 pts each... and not very many kills otherwise... But, it's not a tinkleing contest... it's fun... makes for better competition when people know there are stats!

what is the deal with everyone hating a map because of a slight edge by one team over another? every CS_map is geared towards the Ts... all they have to really do is sit an wait in the hostie room for the CTs to show up. DE_maps do not work in favor of the CTs in the same way because there are far too many entrances, AND there are 2 sites...which means you only have 1/2 the team covering... 1/4 covering the other, and the last 1/4 wandering aimlessly around. I could almost guarantee a win for the CTs in this Xmas map... because it's dark, and the CTs blend in better... and... the kicker.... I KNOW HOW TO WALK and BE PATIENT.
